We also planted some fruit trees like star fruit, orange, mango, Jack fruit, berry, guavas, passion fruit, custard apple, green apple and other fruit tree saplings which is in growing stage. We are very interested in sustainable living, permaculture, meditation and being with nature. Its a paradise with lots of fireflies!
We just bought the land few months before so we need lots of ideas and projects to do.
*️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️ We are looking for a few folks who want to help us for building cow shed with bamboos and local woods. There may be time also to help out with the building project.

Great nature is here everywhere and nearby so feel free to explore it. Silent Valley National park is nearby which has some rare species of flora and fauna. You can get an indepth look into the village life, as it hasn't changed much here. I can take you on trips to the local food joints and view points if needed.
This is a great place to learn about working and living off the land in a very sustainable way. You will experience living closely with nature and a more simple lifestyle away from city life. Among others you will get a taste of gardening, construction, cooking and if desired meditation. The long you stay the more you can learn, we prefer longer stays of up to 6 months. We would love to share our Indian culture and tradition with you.
Volunteering projects varies, from gardening, making small garden structures, building minor things with wood, mulching and working with bamboo, making compost, cooking and other basic ecological farm tasks.
Currently our preferred need is for people with carpentry, gardening skills and ideally some basic permaculture knowledge.
Everyday running of the farm
We are looking for people who are Enthusiastic & Passionate about organic farming and life and we prefer Non-smokers and have an interest in meditation and healthy living.
Este anfitrión ofrece intercambio de idiomas
I'm very much interested in learning new languages and happy to teach Tamil language.
We have one guest portion with two rooms and change room with western toilet.
We provide the space for volunteers to pitch their own tents with beautiful views of mountains. You will receive a mattress and pillow, but you will need your own sleeping bag. The site can also be windy in winter, and depending on the direction, one needs to be ready to pitch their tent in a different location for shelter.
Three meals per day included. We eat together as it is time to see each other and discuss. Traditional South Indian meals are no problem for us to prepare and we can teach you how to make them. If you can cook your typical and favorite meal we would be happy.
We have an outer kitchen which volunteers use to cook their own meals and keep clean and orderly. The site is picturesque, very remote and 10 minutes walk from the nearest grocery store and bus stop.
We give a high importance to using water intelligently and not wasting any.
We genuinely want our volunteers to be happy and thus would like to make our call for people that enjoy outdoor living, are easy going, flexible, can do tasks alone sometimes and feel relaxed with nature. We also stress the importance of having orderliness, cleanliness and mind fullness in all our activities.
Pick up from Thavalam on Arrival (please make contact beforehand: don't just call us when you arrive)
