My name is Jo, I live in a cave house in rural Spain with my 6 dogs, Bonnie, Leila, Pablo, Lucy, Jack, Sophie and Storm Cloud. (The dogs are family and allowed on the furniture.). The great thing about a cave is that it stays cool inside while the temperature rises outside.
We live in a barranco on the outskirts of the village (2 minute walk away).
I need help doing general maintenance on the cave, looking after my dogs and helping a friend set up an area for keeping cats whilst they recover from being spayed.
This is a great opportunity to live in a cave house and find out how/why it works.
We recently had a storm where sand from the Sahara was in the air for 3 days. My pool is currently full of sand and will take a few weeks to recover.
The village is called Cortes de Baza and the nearest town is Baza. Please check the logistics of how you would get to Baza before applying as I am unable to collect anyone from the airport.Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

I am Scottish, living in Spain, I speak a little Spanish and a little French. I live on the alto plain. There are some lovely villages and experiences in the area which I would be happy to take you to if you have no transport. Castril is a particularly lovely village which looks Alpine. There is a gorge walk there. You would be welcome to come on my dog walks as, again, the scenery is gorgeous.

There are several cafe bars. Lovely walks around the area. There is a bus into Baza, which is the main town, in the morning. There are local markets nearly every day in the area.
My home is non-smoking but you can smoke round the pool area.
I expect My home and animals to be respected and expect it to feel like your home too.
I am hoping that you will come to stay first for a workaway but come back again for a visit.Un poco más de información

Upon arriving here Mozhan and I found a woman in great need of help in and around the house, unfortunately her dog wasn't doing well so while Mozhan and Jo brought Bonnie to the vet I started on clearing and cleaning the kitchen.

Unfortunately one of my dogs took ill on the day they arrived. Mozhan ran me to the vet in her immaculate car while Coen cleared the kitchen and made a meal. Two days later Bonnie had to be put to sleep they offered to come get me and go back for my car later. Lovely, lovely… read more
