We spent two wonderful weeks with Sarah, Ethan and their three lovely kids and we are so grateful for this experience. From the very beginning, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel like part of the family.

… read more care of them. Our tasks mainly included helping around the house, cooking for the family and looking after the children. We also did some gardening work. The communication was always clear and the whole family is really flexible including working times and tasks.
One of the highlights was definitely visiting the farm and helping to milk the cows.
The best part of our stay was that we were invited to celebrate Christmas with the whole family. The entire family is so warm and friendly, which made our stay even more special.
Sarah and Ethan are amazing hosts – open, communicative and genuinely caring people. We had a fantastic time and are thankful for all the insights into New Zealand life that we were able to gain during our stay.
Thank you so much for having us! We will always remember this beautiful experience 🥰

… read more differences and Sarah was very kind and explained clearly what to do. Kids were adorable and full of energy. I enjoyed playing a lot with kids and they taught me many things. And everyone I met this time such as their parents, siblings and friends were also nice and I felt the warmth of New Zealanders.
Work involved cleaning, hanging out and holding the washing, gardening, looking after kids, and sometime helping with the farm.
I already miss the beautiful scenary around the house,every delicious meals( I am so grateful for making wonderful dinner every time) , animals and the time playing with kids. I fully enjoyed the stay on the farm in NZ with this lovely family and learned a lot of things. If you are looking for the host in NZ, I strongly recommend them. I'll definitely come back there to see them again!

Sarah and Ethan are Kiwi to the core. Both are hardworking and passionate, and if you're looking for an immersive experience in farming and kiwi lifestyle I'd say they're the host.
Work around the farm varies from day to day - you should expect to work at least 5h a day, but sometimes you'll work 7h if Ethan need an extra hand milking or only 2h
… read more when most projects are done and you only need to give them a help around the house. Flexibility is the word!
Sarah might give you a list with stuff to do so it also depends on how fast you work! I believe being proactive and able to work independently is of great help :)
Absolutely loved learning about milking and farming in general. Rita and Ethan are the best teaches ever hahaha. You'll also have a car to use around (gas is on you tho!)

Spending time with the kids was just an absolute riot—I'm so glad I was able to bake for them and play with them when you two needed a break. I stayed with this lovely family for almost a week and it was a blast. Sarah and Ethan are amazing hosts who made sure I would feel like at home simce coming there. before come to NZ, someone told me that the Kiwi are very kind and generous people and that is true when you meet Sarah and Ethan ! the best family we have never had ! such a good time with his family, they show us many thing, they set up many afternoon as water ski,motobike ride and all about farm living. we really enjoyed our time with them.
