We're a young belgian couple, Wouter (38) and Leen (33) with a 3,5 year old boy, Emil and a newborn baby (Frida). Since 9 years we are living our dream. Having a smallscale selfsustainable farm. We love growing our own food and build our own buildings, work hard and being our own boss, doing this in an ecological way.
We do believe this world could be a better place. But we choose not to scream out that it all has to change, but rather do it... If you believe something has to be different, do it differently ;)
For a living we have 7 beautiful jersey cows from whoms milk we make delicious matured cheese.
We build exclusively with naturally materials, in none of our buildings we've used any concrete. We very much like building with wood, straw and cob.
We also prefer to do all the building ourselves, which cost a lot of energy, but learned us a lot through the years.
That iswhy we could be an interesting place for people who would like to start a small scale self-sufficient farm in the future. Besides the wide range of skills we gained through the years, you could learn a lot from our mistakes as well :)

We have a cob roundhouse where you stay.
We ask volunteers to cook for theirselfs. We provide al you need (vegetarian) and you can cook it in your own kitchen.
