Descripción
We are Alissa and Markus.
We live in the south of Sweden in the fantastic region of Österlen in a beautiful coastal village called Baskemölla. It’s just a few minutes to walk to our wonderful sandy beaches (although the water temperature is usually quite cold😊)
In addition to our professions as a musician and clay builder, we manage for our private use about 5 hectares of land, animal pastures, forest and an apple orchard and of course a fruit and vegetable garden. All work that is to be done is part in our concept to get more and more self sufficient.
We like to live a simple life where we try to reduce our consumption and work in nature on nature's terms.
Our five children are grown and no longer live at home, which gave us the opportunity in recent years to travel and work as workawayers and see how others manage their local environment.
Now we would like to share our knowledge and invite you to share our way of living and how we take care of nature.
The specifics of what work will be done depends on the season and what projects are currently underway, but the garden and animals always need a helping hand. We have sheep, goats, chickens, outdoor cats and a dog. Otherwise, there are usually small building projects underway, or work on the pastures and in the forest. The workawayers are not expected to help in any way in our business venue.
If you are up for physical work outdoors, want to learn about permaculture, growing apples, animal husbandry, clay construction work, etc., you are welcome.
We accept one or two workawayers, preferably couples.
We expect you to be able to keep yourself busy when we are not working together. It is only a short walk to the beaches and there are good public transport options with buses and trains to Simrishamn, Malmö and Copenhagen.
We eat one meal a day together - usually at noon. We provide the ingredients for other meals.
There is a separate guest room in the house, a loft in the barn and a place for camping.

Alissa appreciate to work with crafts of different kinds. Both Alissa and Markus are interested in learning languages. We live in a Eko village where people share a common care for our nature and natural life and there are a lot of artists in this area, as well as potters and other crafts.
