Hi, I am Soo Indian from Mauritius, living in Cairns since 2007. I have a teenage son. I have space for 1 person or a couple or 2 people travelling together and sharing space.
I work a lot, so I am looking for help with cleaning and tidying around the house, garden and cooking. Some simple repairs is appreciated if you know how to do something or have computer or professional skills let me know I can tell you if I need that help.
I will provide food and living space in exchange for 4 hours help per day per person for 5 days a week. Your living space is in in living room, curtain for privacy. Double sofa bed for sleeping.
I want workaway applying to come should know how to do housework independently, as it has been difficult experience with people specially younger ones in the last year.
So, I need someone who already know how to do house work, cooking and gardening as I am not available for constant supervision.
I also want someone who is happy to help me for 4 hours per person, for 5 days a week. I welcome and treat my guests well to the best of my ability and I expect my guess to help to a good standard and not as a burden. This is not suitable for someone who is working.
Please let me know when you want your 2 days off.
We prefer help in the morning, then you can have rest of your days free. We wake up early everyday, so if you like sleeping till lunchtime, this will not be a good place for you.
No food, smoking or alcohol in the sleeping area. Also no smoking or drinking alcohol in my house, as I don't do that in front of my teenager, and I don't want someone else to do it around my teenager.
We have a cat at home.
1 to 2 week stay available at a time, if you want longer feel free to negotiate.

I am from Mauritius and I have an Indian heritage.
I can teach you some Indian and Mauritian style food.

I need help with cooking, cleaning, organising, decorating, decluttering, gardening and small home maintenance tasks. And some scanning of personal documents.
You can help by loading and emptying the dishwasher, washing machine, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathroom and kitchen. Gardening and weeding, cleaning patio and other home tasks. Cooking, I am available to cook a couple of times a week, I often do meal preparation and freeze meals.

Single room with a single bed.
Living room has 6 seater sofa and I have an additional sofa bed if needed.

There is public bus to town and further south from next street.
Mount Sheridan Shopping centre 1 mins walk from here has hungry jack, red rooster, Cafe, gym, sushi train, kmart, Coles, Woolworth. Post office and various other shops.
There is Mount Sheridan Tavern with a Bistro and Pub 10 mins away on shopping centre site.
I work in town 3 to 4 days a week.

I spent a week helping out at Soo’s place. They provided a comfortable bed and delicious meals prepared by their mother, allowing me to enjoy a truly wonderful time there.

At Soo we did gardening, cleaning, cooking, repainting the house, for about 4 hours a day and we were fed and housed, I recommend this host

Even though they are very busy and always working, they made sure I have enough food and I am okay.
Soo also took me to the night market and the Lagoon, drove me to the train station for a day trip or to the harbour. She also helped me with my ear issue.
