Linda & Ian, along with their family, are so welcoming that you immediately feel at home. From the very first moment, we felt comfortable and at ease. Ian and Linda have so many fascinating stories to share, and it was such an enriching exchange. Thier dedication to supporting Aboriginals and nature is truly admirable. They live in an artistic,

The work was great fun, and we really enjoyed their project. The tasks were varied and enjoyable, ranging from small cleaning jobs and watering the garden to renovation work and helping with the construction of their new home.
The kids are also amazing and brought so much joy, playfulness, and fun into the daily routine.
We are certain our paths will cross again in the future. Thank you, Linda and Ian, for your trust and to welcoming us twice and providing such a wonderful experience. We also learned quite a bit of Aussie slang! ;)

We were delighted to have Mirij and Marc help us with our build in Mt Lawley, not once but twice + they stayed in Yanchep to independently take on some repairs and maintenance work there too. They are wonderfully positive people, and enthusiastic, patient and capable workers who adapted easily to our often ad-hoc work-life and schedule. Marc and

We all felt blessed to enjoy their company and to benefit from their many skills, and we so hope to meet again someday 😁 xx
While we were unable to make dates work to welcome Matteo and Saria to help us with our build, we did invite them to our Christmas celebration since they were newly arrived in Western Australia - in fact we had 6 WorkAway helpers with us on Christmas Day!

We certainly wish them both a wonderful-filled adventure in Australia and beyond!
It was a delight to host Rosie and Josh on their arrival in Australia early 2025 to start a new adventure in this vast and beautiful Land. They are lovely, capable and enthusiastic helpers who happily took on the task of installing a 3x3mtr shed in our backyard. The shed had to be moved on 43C day 😰 and was the 1st of many huge feats which they

My partner and I stayed with Linda and Ian for two weeks in late January, we stayed at their beautiful Mount Lawley Family - the house is very comfortable and so central to Perth, it made exploring the city easy.

We were invited along to events with their friends and family which made us feel like part of tribe! Linda treated us to delicious, home made vegan food - it's honestly such a treat! She even picked up some sourdough starter from her local bakery for me to get baking again.
We helped with various projects in their ubran jungle garden, the main work being creating a base and building a large garden shed. The work was a mixture teaming up with Ian & their son Jules (who lives next door), or independently. We enjoyed getting stuck into projects and appreciated their flexibility around work.
Thank you so much Linda & Ian for welcoming us to Australia- your support and kindness over the 2 weeks is deeply appreciated. We look forward to seeing you for dinner soon :)Fotos
Linda loves design & being resourceful - the benches are made from wood grown our Mt Lawley backyard!

At last I have a moment to let the WorkAwayer World know how wonderful Ari is!!! Ari stayed with us for 3 weeks and helped us prepare for an extension to our home. He was an incredibly polite guest, a willing worker and great company.

I had the pleasure of staying with Linda and Ian for three weeks, working on home renovation projects in Mt Lawley. Linda and Ian’s home is filled with vibrant energy and thoughtful details that reflect their values. The work itself was rewarding and I enjoyed contributing to their vision. And, of course, having Lola, the sweetest cocker spaniel, around added joy to every moment.
I’m grateful to have shared this time with them and will carry the lessons and memories forward. If you have the opportunity to stay with Linda and Ian, don’t hesitate – it’s an experience you’ll cherish!
Thank you Linda and Ian for everything. I hope to cross paths again one day!
With gratitude,
