the idea of our mission exists since a long time. the decision of actually daring this step and realizing it all, was made in september 2016 in loulé, portugal. it was sealed by a handshake. based on a long friendship and the will to realize a dream, we, marco and bastian, set the cornerstone for our goal.
the mission we are working on, the aim we will achieve:
"be. simply be. be independent.
about 38.000m2 are offering a place for a free unfolding and development.
a closed water circuit regenerates itself. rain water is collected. different stone layers and soil, water plants and microorganisms are ensuring a permanent self-cleaning.
320 sunny days per year are providing a basic gain of energy. solar panels are transforming sunlight into energy, which feeds the circuit. fertile soil guarantees an own production of food.
simple constructions are offering a place to decelerate. silence and privacy. focused on the essential. basics without restrictions. back to the roots. made out of wood. rentable for our guests.
a common kitchen of encounters. cook together, eat together. a tavolata. encounters connect, encounters remain. time for yourself. time to find friends.
lived art and culture. creative work. craftsmanship, music and exchange.
located in a valley with a typical algarvian character. authentic but different.
secluded but right in the middle. close to beaches and civilisation. off the beaten track. a special place on planet earth.
be. simply be. be independent."
to achieve all of this, we are truely looking forward to getting to know you.

for sure we are looking for carpenters, talented wood workers, interior fitters and arborists at any time (no need for a highly professional level).

Alojamiento
you will be sleeping in one of our habitats, "cabanas", or in the workshop. alternatively: simply bring your tent, come with your camper. no matter which option you prefer, you will have your privacy. and of course you can use facilities as showers, toilets and the bathroom for free.
food will be served every day and - obviously - without any charge.

as you will not be working the entire day, you will have plenty possibilities to enjoy a view of the portuguese countryside. embedded between soft hills and rough stones. lush sunshine. beach life.
located next to loulé. a historical market town with a typical algarvian character. art, craftsmanship and culture. bars and restaurants. well connected but off the beaten track. authentic.
twenty minutes to the airport of faro and to the most beautiful beaches of the country.
everything the algarve - as one of the most diversified holiday destinations of europe - has to offer, is waiting for you just in front of your doorstep...

Thanks so much for the opportunity to get to know this wonderful project and to learn many new crafts. I mostly worked with wood and learned a lot about this type of craft.
