    Hello

Before you read anything else, I simply want to say thank you.

Thank you to the Workaway team for creating this beautiful platform. It has changed my life in ways I never imagined.
    For the past 10 years.

I have had the privilege of hosting incredible people from all over the world here. Every volunteer has left something behind—not just their work, but their stories, ideas, skills, cultures, laughter, and friendships. Together, we have built much more than a farm; we have created a learning community where everyone teaches, everyone learns, and everyone grows.

And thank you for taking the time to read my profile. Perhaps you're just curious, or perhaps you're already thinking about visiting. Either way, I truly appreciate your time.

If our paths cross, I hope you won't come here only as a volunteer. I hope you'll come as a friend, ready to share your knowledge, learn new skills, experience a simple life close to nature, and create memories that will stay with you long after you leave.

This is not a luxury destination. It is a place of simple living, meaningful work, creativity, nature, and genuine human connection. If that speaks to your heart, I would be honored to welcome you and share this journey together.

    Who am I?

My name is Tushar, I am 40 years old and I am originally from India. After two years of experiential learning / studying Eco-architecture and organic farming I started my own project *open community learning and sharing center* and now we started permacluture methods at my farm.

    What is my project?
My current project is to create a self growing organic permacluture farm using local & natural materials like stone, bamboo, mud, grass and many more obtained in the wild....

I have divided my land into two parts -
One being the residential zone where you can reside, chill, make music, hold discussions and sleep your hearts out in the eco-friendly huts. The newly constructed house being a traditional Adiwasi hut is the community space....

Second being the earth friendly organic farm which has different veggies, fruits and pulses all through the according to the season....

I just finished permacluture course and will start practicing methods. Would you like to join and learn please come. We have completed mandala design of permacluture. And now we will be waiting for the planting seeds and saplings.

    Where is it?
My land is located in a deep internal village Uddhar that falls between Mumbai and Pune 3 hours away by road. It is a small village where you can literally see clear skies in the day and spot constellations at night. Its a good spot for birdwatchers. The areas vegetation is open scrubland and there is a nice flourishing river next to my farm. A semi wild cowherd passes by everyday and wild Indian animals can be spotted. People who struggle to find peace in their city life can make this their Dojo/Ashram for meditation. My village is quite a cultural place with the rich village culture still intact. I would also request the volunteers to share their cultures and way of living or even leave a momento of their culture in my heterogeneous land!

    What volunteering?
Now comes the request, as organic farming is a slow-yield process, it would be really helpful if the volunteer can help me with the basic amenities provided in the farm to keep the earth friendly place alive for the next person who visits....
Volunteers can help me with the organic farming or the earth friendly constructions happening at my place. This place is always open for new, creative and innovative methods and ideas of farming and building....

You will get the chance to stay in nature, learn about permaculture, natural living and community life, and be part of the journey.
If you are interested, you are most welcome to join us.

    Wonderful news!
After 11 years of living and building in harmony with nature, we finally have electricity on our farm! This marks the beginning of a whole new chapter in our journey.

    What time?
Volunteers can work about 5 hours a day for 5 days in a week. Specific timings can be decided personally.

    Precaution!
If you have any allergy to any kind of food or water, please let me know in advance, so that we can organize nutritious, organic food yet nonallergic food specially for you.

    Some RULES to follow!
The best would be to avoid generating any inorganic waste but I would request everyone to keep their plastic and inorganic wastes with them and dump it somewhere out..
Also, excessive noise after a certain time at night would disturb the villagers who have a sleep early and wake early routine. If you are still awake after sunset don't walk without torch! For there are some creepers and crawlers you don't want to step on.

What we have on the farm?

    1) Basic comfortable accomodation no luxury at all.

    2) We have electricity and wifi.

    3) We have 3 rooms, 2 toilets, 2 bathrooms, 1 open kitchen(with all cooking material) 1 dining hall.

    4) We have beds, mattress, chaddar, pillow, mosquito net.

    5) We have chicken, cats, dogs

    6) We have River very close from farm.

    What will be your benefits?
I will manage all your stay here including your food. You will enjoy the nature, learn from me about farming and construction, share your valuable knowledge with me and lots of spiritual discussion, and beautiful days and nights.

Upcoming Projects at the Permaculture Farm.

After 11 years of building our dream with simple resources, we are stepping into an exciting new chapter. We have many meaningful hands-on projects where you can learn, create, and contribute alongside us.

    Our upcoming projects include:

    1) Making doors using fabrication and metalworking techniques.

    2) Building beautiful and durable floors with stone, sand, and cement.

    3) Creating innovative walls using iron mesh, green shade cloth, and recycled plastic.

4)Rice plantation and planting a wide variety of native and fruit trees.

5)Organizing and coordinating community experiences such as the Rice Plantation Festival, Wild Food Festival, Spiritual River Retreat, Yoga Festival, and other nature-based events.

6)Bringing our long-term dream project, Artha Festival, to life.

We are looking for kind, open-minded people who enjoy working with their hands, learning new skills, sharing ideas, and living close to nature. You don't need to be an expert—curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to help are far more important.

If you would like to share your knowledge or simply become part of this journey, we would love to welcome you here.

If your heart feels connected to this vision, come and grow with us.

Ps.- Basic comfortable accomodation no luxury at all.

    Thank You..
