Hello :) We have a very old Farm with 7 icelandic Horses, a dog and cat.
We just renovated the house 5 years ago and still have a lot of things to do inside and outside the house whitch is over 200 years old. We apriciate help with all things here on the farm. Our Farm is just Hobby we have "normal" jobs in real Life :)
The people in our Family are:
Katrin (me :)) 44 years old, studied horesmenship in Iceland and lived and worked there for sevaral years,
traveld a lot when I was younger and love the cultural exchange with people.
I work for a travel agency for trips to Iceland Greenland and the Färöer Islands and my main job there is to find the perfct Riding Tour in Iceland ;) beside this I love to give riding lessons and go for a nice ride.
Ulf: 46 years, carpenter, now working as a teacher in adult education at a big aviation company, hobby farmer
Henry: 11 years old, plays Keyboard, handball and Table tennis
Helene: 9 years old, learns to play guitar and does jazzdance
both have their own horses.

Wir sind eine vierköpfige Familie und leben auf einem alten Resthof mit acht Islandpferden, einem Islandhund und einer Katze. Wir haben den über 200 Jahre alten Hof vor 5 Jahren gekauft und renoviert, aber es gibt nach wie vor viel zu tun sowohl im Haus als auch auf dem großen Grundstück. Wir freuen uns über Hilfe bei allen anfallenden Arbeiten. Unser kleiner Hof ist unser Hobby und wir haben "normale" Jobs :)
Wir, das sind:
Katrin (ich) 44 Jahre alt, habe Pferdewissenschaften an der landwirtschaftlichen Hochschule Hólar in Island studiert und dort auch für einige Jahre gelebt und gearbeitet. Ich bin immer viel gereist als ich jung war und liebe den Austausch mit anderen Menschen. Seit 18 Jahren arbeite ich bei einem Reiseveranstalter, der auf Island, Grönland und die Färöer Inseln spezialisiert ist. Mein Schwerpunkt ist es für Pferdebegeisterte Menschen die passende Reittour auf Island zu finden.
Nebenbei liebe ich es, Reitunterricht zu geben und wunderschöne Ausritte zu unternehmen.
Ulf, 46 Jahre alt, Tischlermeister, arbeitet jetzt in der Erwachsenenbildung bei einem Luftfahrtunternehmen, und ist natürlich Hobbybauer.
Unsere Kinder Henry (11 Jahre) und unsere Tochter Helene (9 Jahre).
Henry spielt Keyboard, Handball und Tischtennis. Helene lernt Gitarre und geht zum Jazzdance. Beide haben eigene Pferde.

As I lived ad worked myself in another country when I was younger, it would be just great to give this opportunity to someone as well.
I fulfilled my dream and builded a paddock trail (paddock paradies) for our horses, which is a very horse friendly and natural way to have horses. Animal welfare is a important thing for me and I always try to improve it. So if you are open and interested in horses and nature close farmlife, you are just wellcome to join our dream for a while.
We love good conversations and sitting together in the evening.
Da ich selbst früher im Ausland gelebt und gearbeitet habe, ist es für mich einfach toll, nun anderen diese Möglichkeit bei uns zu geben.
Mit diesem Hof habe ich mir den Traum erfüllt, für meine Pferde einen Paddock Trail zu bauen. Dies ist eine sehr naturnahe und pferdefreundliche Art Pferde zu halten. Das Wohlbefinden der Pferde ist uns sehr wichtig und wir arbeiten ständig daran, dies zu verbessern.

Wir lieben gemütliche Abende mit guten Gesprächen, Brett- und Kartenspielen am Kamin.

You can help/assist us with the horses, the graden and in the house. I am very happy to show and discribe my way of horse care.
We love to work ouself and will be happy to have you as a part of our team :)
Of course our kids and our dog love to have someone to play with and have fun outside.
There will be enough time to enjoy the countryside and explore the area.
Wer zu uns kommt, nimmt natürlich an unserem Alltag teil und hilft uns je nach den Fähigkeiten beim Versorgen der Pferde, der Gartenarbeit und leichten Hausarbeit. Ich zeige und erkläre gern meine Art der Pferdehaltung und versuche, andere davon zu begeistern. Wir arbeiten selbst sehr gern auf unserem Hof und freuen uns, Dich in unserem Team zu haben.
Wer mag, kann den Kids bei den Hausaufgaben helfen, mit ihnen und dem Hund spielen und Spaß haben.
Es gibt genug Zeit das Landleben zu genießen und die Gegend zu erkunden (Fahrrad staht auch zu Verfügung)

You will have a room in our house. All othere rooms like bathroom, living room and kitchen are shared.
Du hast ein eigenens Zimmer (mit TV). Alle anderen Zimmer, wie Küche, Bad und Wohnzimmer teilen wir.

Beside improving language skills, you will be a part of our family and just live our daily life here in the country side. We are just 45 Minutes drive from the Nother sea, Cuxhaven and 1 hours drive from the big city Hamburg. Beautiful smaler city Stade is just 20 minutes.
Du bist ein Teil unserer Familie während deines Aufenthalts bei uns hier auf dem Hof.
Wir sind 45 Min Fahrt entfernt von der Nordsee (Cuxhaven) und eine Stunde von der wunderschönen Stadt Hamburg.
In die schönen kleineren Städte, Stade und Buxtehude sind nur 20 bzw. 40 Minuten
