  My name is Pure and I am from Thailand. I was working in animation for many years but then decided to become a farmer and create a vegan permaculture farm in 2015.
  
  I will be embarking on a journey to become a monk and have passed the running of the farm to my Auntie, so we will be focussing on maintenance, planting and harvesting, decorating, and occasional workshops with traditional materials and plants. This is such a special and important project and it’s crucial we try to keep it going.
  
  We want volunteers to come and build and join a community here, learn from the authentic Thai lifestyle, from harvesting vegetables and fruit to be sold, learning how to cook traditional Northern Thai meals with my family, repairing things around the farm, decorating & painting, general maintenance and gardening and any ideas you might have! Life at the farm is very easy going and we want to build a mindful community of volunteers who can pass on the experience to others. We want this community to grow!
  
  In previous years, there have been physical building projects that volunteers will typically get involved with, however there has been so much development at the farm (thanks to volunteers) that we are ready to begin living with and inside the beauty that is here. Think of this as a communal living project.
  
  The main goal is to become a self-sufficient vegan farm. Our inspiration comes from Thai traditional agriculture but as vegans, we mix traditions with our own values. For example, we are very interested in different phases and positions of the moon before planting and harvesting. We also try to build mostly from natural materials like bamboo, earth and straw.
  
  We are located 6km south of Phayao between the mountains and rice fields. The farm is set on 3 acres of land with food forests and we have vegetable gardens on contour, rice paddies and ponds.

  Booking:
  
  We can start accepting applications from 28th October 2026. We would like volunteers who are interested in learning, being part of a community and can take on a little responsibility. As stated before, we are not a tourist attraction. We are a functioning farm and would like volunteers to be committed and interested in our philosophy.
  
  - We do not accept people under 18 since it’s not a suitable space for young children
  - If you confirm your arrival 2-3+ weeks before your arrival, please only do so if you are certain you can come as we would like to ensure everyone who wants too, gets to experience the farm. Please ensure to send a message 1 week before your arrival to confirm
  - Please try to send your arrival and leave date, if you would like to extend your stay once you arrive, we can discuss and see what the schedule looks like.
  
  Food:
  
  All the meals at the farm will be vegan and vegetarian (We sometimes use egg and honey but please feel free to say if you prefer to not eat). Most of the food comes from the farm or my families garden and are all meals are made with whole foods; there is plenty of protein.
  
  - We provide 3 meals per day for 240 baht.
  - Normally we cook lunch and dinner together. You will learn a lot about Thai Vegan and Vegetarian Cuisine.
  - If you don’t want to pay, there are restaurants around the village however we wont be able to accommodate self-cooking at the farm.
  
  Accommodation:
  
  - As a volunteer, you will have a simple accommodation around our beautiful farm (some of houses can be seen in the pictures). They include mosquito nets and bedding that are provided for free.
  - You might need to share a room with another volunteer for the first couple of nights of your stay.
  - Please bring your own towel, toiletries, and torch (phone flash can also be used).
  - Bring your own towel.
  - The rooms have locks, but you need to bring your own padlock to close it (you can also buy in the nearby village or 7-eleven).
  - Please be responsible for your personal belongings as this is an open farm; the farm however is very safe.
  
  Work:
  
  We don't have a minimum hours of help but on average, volunteers do 3 or 4 hours a day. For example, in the morning you can help 1-2 hours, then continue in the afternoon and choose when to take a rest, go for a walk, group trip, or do some handcrafts, read, whatever you want.
  
  We also have lots of other activities around Phayao such as waterfalls, jungle trekking (50 Baht), temples and more!

  Internet
  - We do not have wifi but there is good mobile service so ensure to have a SIM card before arriving. Trip.com also sells e-sims for Thailand for reasonable prices.
  
  Getting Here:
  - If you come from Chiang Mai, the easiest is to take a bus in the direction of Phayao with Greenbus company. There is a stop about 10 km before Phayao, which is close to the farm and we can pick you up there.
  - If you come from Chiang Rai or Bangkok and arrive to the central bus terminal, you can take a scooter taxi. The price will be around 200 bhat. Please only use the phone number given for calling me when you arrive.

  Waste Management:
  
  - We would like the volunteers to be conscious and responsible for their own plastic, bottles and trash because there is no recycling system around here.
  - We appreciate if you can collect your non-biodegradable waste during the stay and take it with when you leave.

  For many years I have been living this way, I can create, play with everything around, learn by making mistakes, meet many people around the world, and take a rest at any time. It is a nice way to live and I am looking forward to sharing this experience and philosophy with you!

  You would need to have a mobile SIM in order to have your own connection but the signal is good in some parts of the farm. It's a great place to work from, very relaxing and healthy.
