I spent 7 weeks with sebastian and jennie and i don't regret a single minute of it. we went on great trips together and spent cozy evenings at home, i felt at home during my whole stay and was sad when my time was over.
this was my first workaway experience but thanks to hosts like these two it will definitely not be my last.

I really enjoyed my time with Jennie and Sebastian. My stay with them was my first Workaway experience but I was made to feel very at home and always included in activities during free times. Both Jennie and Sebastian are excellent teachers weather it be for Swedish, the dogs or anything else, I feel I learned a lot during my stay of just under 3
… read more weeks. It was a lovely cultural exchange, and I got to experience many foods and parts of Swedish culture that I otherwise wouldn't have had I not been staying with them.
It is also a very nice part of Sweden. and the area near by and surrounding is beautiful and really ideal if you like nature and hiking.

I stayed with Jennie and Sebastian for 3 weeks and it was one of the most beautiful experiences I‘ve ever had in my life. They made me feel welcome the first second I arrived and very soon I felt like a family member. It was the first workaway experience for both sides and it went really well.

… read more kind of work I want to do. I could work whenever I want to but I usually did around 3 to 3.5 hours in the morning and 1 to 1.5 hours in the evening.
In the morning I checked the dogs, changed their water, cleaned the dogyard, sometimes brushed them and of course gave them some cuddles. Then I went for a walk with them and after that I did some different tasks.
I often did some easy household tasks like cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming, … In the evening I often took care of their son, he has a lot of energy and loves running, so be prepared :D But he‘s so lovely, easy to entertain and I loved spending time with him! I also did a lot of woodwork and painted the doghouses, but they always have different projects so your tasks might be a bit different. But as I said, they always give you the chance to choose a bit in what you want to do.
They always made sure that I‘m good, they even bought vegetarian products and cooked vegetarian meals for me, which I really appreciated.
When they were home, we usually always spent time together and they often told me about their culture, they taught me a lot about nature and I asked them a lot about the wildlife.
They really want you to have a good time, they took me to the highest waterfall in Sweden, during midsummer we went on a trip with two friends of them or just showed me around the area. They made me feel very welcome and I could always join them on the weekend to visit their family or to go somewhere else.
They‘re such a great family and I loved working with the dogs. We had such a great time together and I can‘t wait to see them again one day. I really recommend going there!Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.
