Hi there!
This is perfect for a workaway couple or two or three friends travelling together, but singles willing to have room mates can work out also. This is a good place for digital nomads as the wifi is better than most.
My current projects require writer/editors, carpenters, cabinet builders, website creators, social media professionals/experts. I am interested in learning European Portuguese so a language teacher would also be a useful skill.
Our household consists of a chef/writer (me), an IT expert and the boss, our cat who is really in charge.
We have a beautiful jungle property on the Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica where we have just finished building rental housing. Our intention is to create an oasis filled with art and surrounded by nature so we are looking for artists and tradesmen that can help with our vision. Here we wake up to the sights and sounds of the rain forest, like the Great Green Macaw or the Howler Monkeys, so there is no need for an alarm clock most days. The beach is a short easy walk. We have planted fruit trees, flowers and animal friendly trees all over the property to encourage our sloth and monkey friends to stop by for a visit.Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

We are located between Puerto Viejo and Manzanillo on Costa Rica’s Caribbean “Gold” Coast which is and incredibly diverse cultural scene. Puerto Viejo and the surrounding area are extremely multi-cultural and opportunities for unique and interesting experiences abound. Working on this property alone you will interact with local workers and neighbours as well as neighbours from around the world. On the property we speak English, Spanish and Portuguese
Art, music and dancing from several different cultures can be found here, and there are often opportunities to try something new.Ayuda
We are creating a new short term rental business on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica focusing on art and nature. We are still developing and building our grounds and programs and are looking for artists and artisans, painters, builders, carpenters and creators of all kinds. Current projects in planning and on the go are:
- carpentry/cabinetry: building shelving and small furniture
- mural painting - open to suggestions from artists interested in leaving their unique mark
- mosaics - open to suggestions from artists interested in leaving their unique mark
- sculpture - open to suggestions from artists interested in leaving their unique mark
- We are building our website and social media so there are opportunities to assist with this as wellIdiomas

You will sleep in a charming poolside loft casita (choice of King size or twin beds) with a view of the treetops. There is an indoor toilet and an outdoor shower with hot water. The kitchen is part outside and inside.
No partyers please, and no guests, this is a residential jungle space and we host international short-term guests. The jungle wakes early, and so do we.Algo más...
The Great Green Mackaw and the Howler monkeys will make it hard to sleep in and miss the morning magic. On your day off wander down to the beach ten minutes away, or bike to a different beach or into town. Take Spanish lessons nearby, bike or tuktuk into town to shop, meet new people or take a break in a seaside cafe sipping coco locos. Grab an ice cold pipa from a vendor and sip it on the beach. Go on tours. Go snorkelling, diving, kayaking, fishing or just sit on the beach watching the rhythmic waves and the wildlife in the treetops.
Puerto Viejo is a relaxed, multicultural tourist town with a fantastic culture and many stories. Spanish and English are the most common languages, but you will find German, Italian and French and many other languages spoken as well.
We are a few minutes drive or bike ride from the town of Peurto Viejo where you will find surfers, yoginis, fishermen, fire dancers, artisans selling jewellery, art and clothing and food vendors with all manner of take away for travellers from all over the world. It is a unique place that attracts unique visitors. There are shops, tour operators, post office, banks, medical facilities, pharmacies, buses and private transport to many places. There is a happening night life around the restaurants and bars with live music and dancing or karaoke and trivia.
The same distance the other way takes you to the chill town of Manzanillo with a decidedly reggae vibe and the National Park hiking trails.
Our property is in on the most beautiful part of the coast and we are only a short walk to an awesome secluded white sand beach or bike to any number of other beaches, each with their own unique charm. Hammocks are set up around the property perfect for gazing up into the canopy trees to watch for monkeys, sloths, iguanas, Mackaws and Tucans. All manner of birds and bees and butterflies abound. Don’t be surprised if a hummingbird comes right up to your nose to check you out. Agoutis, ant eaters and poison dart frogs may cross your path. You never know what you might see.
Transport
You can easily get around on a bicycle here if you are accustomed to riding. There are several rental places close by. The roads can be busy though, so if you are timid on a bike perhaps a tuk tuk or a taxi is more your style. There is also a very inexpensive Mepe bus that goes by on the main road every hour. At the bus stop in town you can get tickets to anywhere in Costa Rica. Several private and semi private shuttles are also available, and there is a small airport in Limon with transit to San Jose. Car/bike/e-bike and golf cart rentals are available in Puerto Viejo. We are happy to help you figure out the best options for you.

We have as good a fiber connection as possible in the rain forest, which is to say we can do nothing about power outages and WiFi interruptions due to trees falling and such. However, there are many places to take a lap top for those times when our wifi is interrupted by the whims of nature. There is construction on the neighboring lot, so noise may be a factor.

Full disclosure: I must admit that I very nearly missed out on this incredibly dynamic team in the finishing of my rental houses because I thought it wouldn’t be a good idea to have a child in a rain forest construction zone. I was so wrong! I don’t know how I would have finished on time without these three!
