I'm looking for help on an alternative horse farm, south from Landshut (Lower Bavaria), 70 kilometers north-east from Munich.
On the farm, there live 15 horses (8 of my own, 7 belong to other people), two dogs, three cats and two wild bee colonies and on a daily/weekly basis riding.
The farm is a little oasis in harmony with nature, away from the hectic and stressful world in the cities. Sustainability is a very important issue for me, I buy mainly seasonal, regional and biological food and produce a few things by myself (jam, bread...). I cook only vegeterian, often vegan as well!
My job is my passion: I offer education for humans and horses in a relaxed atmosphere, where you can learn a friendly and determined handling.
Oh, I forgot to introduce myself: my name is Véronique, but I'm called Véro. I was born in French Switzerland, but have lived in Germany for 25 years. I'm very spontaneous and a bit chaotic, but always see the bright side of live:)
Hilfe auf einem alternativen Pferde Hof , südlich von Landshut (Niederbayern), 70 km nordöstlich von München, gesucht.
Auf dem Hof leben 15 Pferde (8 eigene, 7 Pensionspferde), zwei Hunde, drei Katzen und zwei wilde Bienenvölker und tage-/wochenweise Reitgäste.
Der Hof ist eine kleine Oase in Harmonie mit der Natur, weit weg von der hektischen und stressigen Alltagswelt.
Nachhaltigkeit ist mir sehr wichtig, ich kaufe hauptsächlich saisonale, regionale und biologische Lebensmittel und stelle z.B. Marmelade und Brot selber her. Gekocht wird immer vegetarisch, oft auch vegan!
Mein Beruf ist meine Leidenschaft und besteht in der Unterhaltung meines (Wander-)reitbetriebs. Ich biete Ausbildung für Menschen und Pferde in entspannter Atmosphäre, bei der der höfliche und entschlossene Umgang im Vordergrund steht.
Oh, ich habe mich noch gar nicht vorgestellt: mein Name ist Véronique, genannt werde ich Véro. Ursprünglich komme ich aus der französischen Schweiz, lebe aber seit 25 Jahren in Deutschland. Ich bin sehr spontan und ein bisschen chaotisch, aber immer positiv:)

My mother tongue is French, so if you want to learn that... :) but of course I also speak German. My English is not the best anymore, maybe we can work on that togheter:)
If you want, you can learn a very free handling of horses, a different style of riding (often without saddle/bridle) and free groundwork.
I can't travel around the world, that's why I invite the world to my home!
Meine Muttersprache ist französisch, falls du Lust hast das zu lernen... :) aber natürlich spreche ich auch deutsch. Mein englisch ist nicht mehr das beste, daran können wir ja vielleicht gemeinsam arbeiten.
Wenn du möchtest kannst du hier einen sehr freien Umgang mit Pferden lernen, eine etwas andere Reitweise (oft ohne Sattel/Zaumzeug) und freie Bodenarbeit.
Ich bin mit meinem Hof an einen Ort gebunden und kann nicht in die Welt. Deswegen lade ich die Welt zu mir ein!
Your tasks will be:
Caring for the horses: feeding, cleaning the paddocks
On the pastures: repairing fences, plucking weed
Helping in the house: cooking, buying groceries
Gardenwork: collecting fruits and apples for the horses, cutting bushes, protecting plants, cutting wood
Caring for the other animals: walking the dogs, feeding the cats, check if everybody has enough water
And a few other things that change day by day. Independence is always good, of course after some learning-time.
Deine Aufgaben:
Pferdepflege: Fütterung, Abmisten des Offenstalls und Paddocks, Versorgung mit Heu
Weidepflege: Reparatur von Zäunen, Pflanzen aussortieren;)
Hilfe im Haus: Kochen, Einkaufen
Gartenarbeit: Obst und Äpfel für die Pferde pflücken/sammeln, Brennnesseln schneiden, Holz hacken/sägen, Büsche
schneiden
Versorgung der anderen Tiere: mit den Hunden spazieren gehen, Katzen füttern, Wasser auffüllen
Und alles, was sonst noch anfällt:) Selbstständigkeit ist immer erwünscht, natürlich nach einer Einlernungszeit.

You will live in a nice, old farmhouse. You will share a large loft with other workawayers. We will share the bathroom and kitchen. Sometimes we will eat together, sometimes we have different plans and everybody can prepare a meal of their own. The dogs live in the house, the cats visit sometimes, but most of the time they do their job (which is hunting mice).
Du wohnst in einem schönen alten Bauernhaus . Du teilst Dir einen schönen ausgebauten Dachboden mit anderen Workawayers. Badezimmer und Küche teilen wir uns. Mit dem Kochen/Essen machen wir es, wie es gerade kommt: mal zusammen, mal jede:r für sich.
Die Hunde leben im Haus, die Katzen besuchen uns manchmal, müssen aber die meiste Zeit arbeiten (auf Mäusejadg gehen).
In your freetime I can teach you to communicate with the horses (incl. ground work, free dressage and riding lessons), you can relax in my garden, visit Munich (by train) or Landshut (by car or bus), take one of the bikes and discover the area and in summer drive to the little lake for a swim or relaxed afternoon in the sun.
In deiner Freizeit kann ich dir den Umgang mit Pferden beibringen (Bodenarbeit, Freidressur, Reitunterricht), du kannst im Garten entspannen, München (mit dem Zug) oder Landshut (mit dem Auto oder Bus) besichtigen, mit einem der Fahrräder die Gegend entdecken und im Sommer zum Badeweiher fahren.
Wenn gewünscht, können wir gemeinsame Ausflüge oder Ausritte unternehmen.
