  We are a restaurant bar located at the heart of the Ski resort. This season will be our fifth year of operation and my 8th season in Madarao we love all things Japanese food, culture, good music, meeting people and of course riding the best snow Madapow has to offer!

  This is an intimate ski resort in Nagano/Niigata prefecture the best kept secret. You will have to opportunity to ride as much snow as you like and travel surrounding areas like the Snow monkeys and stunning traditional temples.
  The Chef owner is Half Japanese half Australian and is eager to teach all things Japanese, our near by towns are very local and you can test out your Japanese language skills just by grocery shopping.

  We are currently on search for rockstar Chefs to join our team for the next winter season in Madarao Japan.
  
  You will be working closely with owners Kon and Shino helping us run our little bar walking distance from the slopes on the main strip of the town. This is our fifth year in operation. We are currently searching for experienced chef or cook to join our team.
  
  Due to our staff accomodation we are limited to how many we can offer this position.
  
  We focus on our food and experience being Japanese izakaya style with the comforts for our foreign guests (catering to most dietary requests).
  As the Japanese winters are short mid December to end of February we expect our staff to be able to hit the ground running. We will provide necessary training however would expect staff to have adequate experience for the positions they are applying for (Chef/Cook).
  
  We understand that most applicants are here for the snow and we can provide one of the best jobs on the mountain as you will never miss first lifts as long as you wake up!
  
  As this is a paid position we would also expect our staff to come with all relevant visas for the period of time they are working.
  
  Starting rate is ¥1,100 before tax but please feel free to contact based on experience.

  You will be provided with a season pass for skiing and snowboarding if you stay employed full time for the season! There is so much to do and see in the surrounding area and the food is incredible in this part of Nagano!
