Descripción
We are a Cistercian Sisters Community in the East of Germany at the border with Poland. Our monastery was founded in 1234, and it is with full of culture and nature. The architecture of the monastery is partly Baroque. The architecture speaks itself the history of the monastery. The monastery is situated just next to the Neisse river and there is a long Neisse river trail where you can take a nice walk or jog. Although it is a big monastery, now we are only a small community. Since we are contemplative sisters, there are opportunities to have meditation and prayers. However, we are very open to the society, especially young people with innovative ideas. We serve the society not only through prayers, contemplation and spiritual support, but also with our handwork and art. We have several interesting projects for the sewing-room, bakery, the garden and some small maintanance and renovation works.

Intercambio cultural y oportunidades de aprendizaje
All our sisters in the community and the people working with us speak German and some sisters speak English too. Some workers speak German and Polish. It would be a good opportunity for the travellers to learn languages. Of course the main benefit would be the experiencing and learning Christian contemplative life in certain extent of silence. If you are interested in Cistercian spirituality, here you can learn a lot about it. We aim also to help the personal development of young people based on their backgrounds and their needs.
