Hi there! We - my daughter and I - live with our horses and a cat in an old farmhouse with a huge garden and we love to have guests. We renovated the house and it is becoming nice and cozy, but there are still some areas to be organized. It is becoming a place for people who love a common togetherness. We had already some wonderful parties with live music. Here are many opportunities as for a wood workshop, day care or for any kind of classes! The house has a single location next to a forest and without any neighbors, nevertheless we are only 10 minutes away from the beautiful town Hameln at the river Weser in a hilly landscape and there are many attractions/sightseeing around. Just come and find out!

We love to have guests, we both speak English (I lived in the USA for almost 3 years) and we can help you to improve your German language. Here are many attractions in this area and once a month you would have the opportunity to meet a bunch of people and make music all together with lots of different music instruments and hang out at the fire place. That's at a friends house and it is a lot of fun. Once in a while we have garden parties with live music at our house. And if you love the nature you will enjoy this place!

We can need help everywhere: in the garden with many flowers and fruit trees, renovating the house with clay in different colours, wood works, painting walls, building a fence for the horse meadow, sawing wood or finish to renovate the guest room or one of the circus cars. Also the outside kitchen and the African bathroom need some attention. Or you have your own idea about help at this place.

I'm not sure how I can condense my experience at Bettina's paradise into a few lines for this feedback, but I'll give it a go! I was so grateful for the opportunity to spend time in such a beautiful area of Germany with such a lovely, welcoming family. I originally arranged to stay for two weeks in spring and extended by a week as I was able to… read more work remotely and just didn't want to leave! Since then, I already went back once for a long weekend and I hope it won't be the last time!

During my first visit, I spent most of my 'working time' sorting through and clearing out the barn to set up a flea market - lots of interesting things there and this suited me well as I'm more of an organiser than a creative. But Bettina gave me a lot of options as to what I'd like to do, and she's very flexible regarding the tasks and the timing of them. For example, on some days when I had to work remotely for one of my part-time jobs, I could start in the flea market earlier or later and organise my time as it suited me. You'll have a lot of freedom to plan your days here, and everyone helps each other out. I also helped with clearing the stables and sometimes looking after the horses - when I came back for my second stay, did some work in the garden like mowing and planting! The farmhouse changes and evolves with the contributions of every new visitor and it is a really special place to stay.

Whilst the farmhouse is out in the countryside, in a quiet area of fields and woodland (definitely a great place for those who love nature!), there is also lots to see in the area, in and around Hameln. Thank you Jovana, for taking me out to get to know the town and some of the local sights! ;) I managed to do a lot of running, walking and exploring whilst I was there and just by taking a train from Hameln, you can also explore different parts of central and western Germany. Bettina's place is cosy and comfortable, with a great atmosphere for Workawayers and visitors, which made for some fun Rummy and wine evenings and some interesting conversations!

Bettina and Jovana, I hope that we will be friends for life - and I will definitely be back again for one of your famous parties once it's possible again! :) Thank you for welcoming me into your home!

To everyone considering a stay with Bettina, I cannot recommend her enough as a Workaway host. And remember, you're in paradise!

Esteban was very helpful at our place. He is a young and strong man, who helps, wherever he can. He chopped wood, painted ceilings, cleaned the stable, organized the barn, renovated and even cooked, taught kids English or filmed a wonderful video about our place. We had a great time together. I wish him wonderful experiences in his future!

Amazing place to relax.. to organize yourself.. cozy house at the light of fire in winter.. surrounded by big threes with incredible colors.
good people nice home.. I enjoy everyday of this house and is family. Feels nice a bit of home touch being so far from home.
