We are a couple of families with 2 kids, Luna (12) and Iyari (5) and 3 dogs, Estrela, Akira and kara, who is starting a little community based in a beautiful valley in central Portugal, among forests, mountains, a wonderful river, loads of cristals and pure cristaline water. We wish to create a sacred space for healing and our own personal development, were we can live in peace, grow our food and take care of the earth and nature around us.
We have about 4 We hectares of land in total and we are still in the process of creating basic infrastructure, planting gardens, making orchards and building little houses, we wish to live as self sufficient as possible.
We come from different countries, such as: Denmark, Sweden, and Peru
We are very easy going, hard working, honest and open minded people and welcome all those who wish to work in making this world into a better place, we expect you to be kind and respectful.
Here you can find a nice place to go down to basics and explore the offered adventure, reconnect with nature, learn by doing , eat healthy and relax while connecting with nice open hearted people.
As we are in the beginner phase we need as much help as we can get to create infrastructure, such as , Toilets, showers, water irrigation systems, gardens, maybe a sauna and a few little huts, so if you have any basic or advanced carpentry experience its a super plus! we also want you to feel free to use your creativity and bring your own ideas into creation, painting , sculpting , building, creating gardens and embellishing the land is also very welcomed! We seek help from people who love living in nature who aren't afraid of getting dirty, with strong work ethic and a joyful creative
Recent Update:
We are quite busy at the moment so we are looking for independent and dynamic workawayers who can do things on their own and can find their way around, at the moment we are doing some winter preparations so we need strong helpers to help us making firewood and water connections, shelters to keep stuff away from rain, forest cleaning and landscaping,etc
We are looking for a long term volunteer that can help us with all around tasks here and there, chainsaw skills is a must,
We can offer a little cozy, fire heated wood cabin, that u can make into your little home while u are here, you might have to share it with another volunteer if thats the case,
We like you to stay for a minimum of four weeks, so you have sufficient time to settle in and learn different practices.
working hours are flexible and we expect you to manage your own tasks, we wont always have 5 hours a day but sometimes the work will be harder than others,
We offer good food 3 times a day, The diet is vegan/vegetarian,
The rest of the time, you should supply yourselves with your own food and snack. We can drive you to the local market on fridays ;)
We have two other communities as neighbours, with a lot of children and animals, we wish to respect their privacy and don't pop up uninvited. As we are a children friendly environment with a healthy lifestyle, we ask of our guests for no drugs and only small amounts of alcohol policy to be respected we aint no saints, and we do enjoy a good party ;) he he , but not every day and with moderation.
Do bring good working gear/ clothes, rain boots, rain clothes and warm clothes.. as much as it can be sunny 20 degrees in the end of november there can be some chilly nights and rainy days, so we ask you to be prepared for that!

Alojamiento
We like you to stay for a minimum of four weeks, so you have sufficient time to settle in and learn different practices.
Ideally you have a van, so you have your own space and comfort for the winter months (it gets really cold at night during winter!)
For the winter season we offer a little wood cabin you can share with other workawayers

We are based in a beautiful valley in central Portugal, among forests, mountains, a wonderful river and 10 minutes walk away from a bigger flood, loads of cristals and pure cristaline water.
3 km away you will find Vila Longa, from where you can take the bus. The closest villages you can find bout 20-25 minutes drive away, Penalva Do Castello or Satao. There is cafees, restaurants, shops and stores.
And 40 minutes away you find the city Viseu.

George is the biggest dog lover I have ever met. And it's perfect as we have quite a few dogs in the valley. He is extremely helpful and works hard. We look forward to your return❤️
