Hi there wonderful WorkAway folks. My name is Thomas and I am a Writer, Chef, Poet and Musician amongst other things. I have been travelling the world for the past ten years with six being in Spain, three in the Netherlands and the remainder split between Ibiza, Croatia, Bristol and Thailand (which is where I currently am).

I love to cook and have run my own pop up restaurant for the past five years. I am a novelist and BBC award winning poet who enjoys nature as it offers me space to write. I am also a musician and singer/songwriter/rapper.

I speak conversational Spanish and some Dutch and love languages. The exchange of language and culture being one of my favourite things in life, I am really looking forward to the experiences that this will offer.

I was once a very good scrabble player but haven’t played in a long while. I love music, great music moves me like black and white movies. I also love movies and books. I want to spend more time in direct contact with nature. It’s strange how you can be on the middle of a jungle and still somehow not do so.

Truly one of my all time favourite places to be on this planet. And I’m not exaggerating. This is a wild and rustic bare bones type of space, but you will want for absolutely nothing while you are there. Thomas came to us in winter in Norway. We had also just suffered a fire so conditions onboard were a little bit challenging. But Thomas got to work and we all somehow stayed afloat. Ron is an amazingly sweet and very knowledgeable man. I was made to feel at home and given great accommodations. We ate together every morning and evening where we shared great conversations and laughter.
The project is a wonderful piece of beautiful oddness set in the gorgeous south Netherlands countryside. Loved being there and will be back.

This place was amazing. I was taken in and made to feel like a part of the family straight away. There were lots of tasks to choose from and we would take regular coffee breaks and talk about life and other shared experiences. I would highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone.
