Knowing that the normal life path of work or further education wouldn't fit me, I left England as soon as I was eighteen and have been travelling in search of as many different cultures and alternative lifestyles as I can find. So far I have lived in the middle east working an a coexistence program, a biodynamic farm and an adult special needs community. I have spent time on a Bhuddist retreat, learning a little about Bhuddism and horticulture and have lived off the grid in the mountains of Portugal. Most recently I spent 2 months as a chef and handyman at a backpackers hostel in Albania. I have loved working with the nature, with children and with people with additional needs. I would especially like to learn more about sustainable living and eco projects. I am friendly and get along well with people in social situations, but can also really appreciate slower, more personal time. My goal is to see life from as many perspectives as possible so that I can keep an open mind and consider as many options as i can in my choices as I go along with life. And of course also to have a good time. I love to bake breads and pies and to play music on my guitar. I'm happy to work on all days, but never from Friday evening untill Saturday night for religious reasons. I hope to keep travelling and volounteering around the world for at least a couple years, but I can see myself living this lifestyle for a lot longer.

Growing up as the oldest of five, where the youngest has a lot of additional needs, I have the patience and experience of working with children and people with additional needs. I have had a little experience with agriculture on a large and small scale. I have taught English to children at ages ranging from five to twelve. I have cooked (by myself and in a small group) for large groups of people ranging from twenty to one hundred. I have also been vegetarian my whole life, so vegetarian cooking is the normal to me. I can cook vegetarian (and vegan) for large amounts (20) of people. It isn't my favorite thing but I can do it. I have a basic knowledge of DIY and can use tools. I am a practical and easygoing person, I am good at finding solutions under pressure without getting stressed.
