Descripción
We are a nature loving Irish couple living in the idyllic countryside of West Cork on a five-acre smallholding. We grow fruit and vegetables following organic principles in three polytunnels and also outdoors. We also keep hens, ducks, pigs and turkeys for our own eggs and meat. We have a market stall at Bantry country market selling plants, fruit, vegetables, eggs and jam.

Intercambio cultural y oportunidades de aprendizaje
There is lots to learn on our smallholding including how to grow fruit and vegetables following organic principles. From seed to harvest to market there's something happening at all times of the year!
Ayuda
We are looking for help mostly in the garden, assisting with preparing the ground, planting seeds and seedlings, weeding and harvesting along with general garden maintenance.
This would suit a single traveller or couple interested in helping for 25 hours for 1 week. We require some flexibility in working hours depending on the weather but can also be flexible in return regarding hours and days worked.
No smoking inside the house.Idiomas hablados

Alojamiento
The accommodation comprises a large bedroom with king size bed and a shared bathroom with the hosts. You will join the hosts for home cooked meals using the harvest from the garden.
Algo más...
The hosts live in a rural village in west Cork within short walking distance of shop, post office, pubs and churches. There are bus services available in the nearby town servicing most of west Cork and all that it offers!
