Hello, I am Adik
Now that I have settled in my home, Solo - Central Java. I've decided to share my passion and experiences with the younger generation by setting up a special program. It is a preparatory course for students who will work on cruise ships and hotels, and English Class For Students.
Our program is unique. We have turned our Ethnic Javanese House to a boarding house, where students from different parts of Indonesia come live and train in a creative Non-formal setting and gain the skills they need , to be ready before they go on board.

If you want to experience the real life of Indonesian families, and live an authentic village experience, but still be very close to the city, then we are the right choice for you.
Even though we are only 15 minutes away from the city center, our neighborhood tries to preserve its traditions' and cultures' So you will be able to see some traditional and cultural celebrations that have disappeared in bigger cities.
We also might be able to accompany you to local weddings,birth celebrations and the famous Wayang.
Central Java has many beautiful places to visit ,such as Kraton,Solo Palace,Temples ,Panoramas and much more.
It is also a good point to travel from,you can easily visit many Indonesian cities from here.

We provide hands on experience for our students, and we don't believe in just learning from books, they practice cooking, housekeeping, food and beverage servicing and multiple more skills needed on board.
We also prepare them for interviews and teach them marine English and that's why We need You to come, if you:
~ Speak English OR
~ Have any experience in the hospitality industry such as hotels, restaurants, Cruise ships.
Join us and share your experiences and skills with our students.
We also look for people who can help us in marketing our school/ program, so If you have any marketing/social media skills join us too.
The newest program - we have a program to train the students wanting to know about photo product, fotografi, content creator of you tube etc.
We are open to all option, as long as you are someone who's fun and happy to have conversations with our students. Don't hesitate to contact Us

Alojamiento
I live in big ethnic Javanese House with my wife and two teenage sons. Our house is comfortable and we have a big nice area with a billiard table where students hang out often. We have 2 rooms for Workawayers, you can share the bathroom with us (bucket system instead of shower).
Most times, we will even be able to drop you off and pick you up, if you needed to go somewhere,
Other than that , you can use Transportation apps like Grab and Go-Jek. You can get to the city center for about 3 to 5 USD depending on whether you choose car or motorcycle.
For us, Workaway is truly about exchanging cultures and making friends from around the world, you will be treated like family and on most days we will sit and have our meals together like one. And since some of our students are also training to become chefs, they will be more than happy to treat you and introduce you to some Indonesian dishes sometimes , other than that, you are more than welcome to use our kitchen and cook whatever you like.

The main reason I am doing this Workaway exchange is because I have been lucky enough to travel and meet people from different cultures and I realize how important and eye-opening travelling can be ,So until my students get to travel one day, I want to help broaden their perspective on the world by letting them meet You and hear about your stories.
As long as you are respectful of our culture , We will be happy to host you and show you around , Even our neighbors will be excited to meet you and you'll experience real Indonesian hospitality.
