Hi, I'm Nitya, we are a small family, a community living in Pyang, Illam district, North-East of Nepal. Illam district is well known for its beautiful greenery mountains with tea plantations. We have an organic farm located in a very peaceful and serene environment at nearly 2000 m, where we grow tea, potatoes, cardamom, corn and some medicinal plants. We also have cows, goats, bee hives and many wild forest around.
In our land we have two beautiful projects, one essential oils distillery unit, where we extract oils from local aromatic plants (cypress, mint …); and one small ashram with a beautiful meditation hall to meditate, practice yoga, and sound healing bath with Tibetan singing bowls.
We have a new coming project to develop, a polytunnel with a plant nursery for propagation and a worm farm for organic compost, where we will grow organically many vegetables and culinary herbs.
We love living a simple lifestyle in nature tunned with its cycles. We are deeply interested in holistic health (body, mind and spirit). We follow principles of Ayurveda and Yoga science and practice meditation. We have a small library in such topics where you can enjoy during your free time.
Fogginess is part of our daily lifes. The climate here is dramatically changing, in one day you can experience five type of weather. Temperatures fluctuate between 22 to 14ºC during the warmer months and coldest months between 10 and - 2 ºC. Monsoon season usually span from July to September with periods of heavy rains. You must bring appropriate warm and waterproof clothes.
You can learn new skills related to organic farming, simple natural lifestyle, vegetarian satvic cooking … and learn and practice about yoga, meditation and sound healing bath.
During your days off, you can do many hikes nearby, where you can see the world third highest mountain ‘Mount Kanchanjunga’. You can also visit our neighbours and get to know the Nepali cultural heritage.
During your stay you will have the opportunity to experience a genuine rural lifestyle while you learn to observe your inattentive mind and learn to be present in your action. This place is a unique combination to experience ‘Zorba the Buddha’. Zorba meaning the material world and Budhha, the internal.Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje
