Looking for a meaningful long-term experience in nature, community, and sustainable living?
Join our international eco-farm in the mountains of Nova Friburgo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and become part of an ongoing project focused on permaculture, agroforestry, bioconstruction, and environmental regeneration.
We are especially looking for people who:
- Want to stay with us for several months and become part of the team
- Are motivated, responsible, curious, and proactive
- Enjoy practical, hands-on work
- Are interested in sustainable living, agroforestry, natural building, or community life
- Are open to teamwork, cultural exchange, and living with people from different backgrounds
- Want to contribute their own skills and experience while developing new ones
- Are willing to take responsibility and actively participate in everyday farm life
Depending on your interests and skills, you may contribute to:
- Agroforestry and permaculture
- Bioconstruction and architecture
- Cooking and kitchen routines
- Communication, photography, and videomaking
- Web development and digital projects
- Other activities connected to the farm and community
*Previous experience is welcome, but not always required.
We value attitude, commitment, willingness to learn, and the ability to work well as part of a team.

It’s a great opportunity to practice Portuguese and English, and share skills.

AGROFORESTRY
Learn and practice agroforestry and permaculture techniques on our farm
Plant, maintain, and harvest fruit trees and vegetables
Collaborate on forest and food projects, including composting and regenerative practices
BIOCONSTRUCTION & ARCHITECTURE
Design and build eco-structures using natural local materials (cob, wattle and daub, bamboo)
Integrate renewable energy and eco-friendly site planning
Lead and train volunteers in sustainable construction practices
VIDEOMAKER / PHOTOGRAPHER
Capture daily farm life through photos and videos
Help with social media and content creation
Document workshops and community experiences
WEB DEVELOPER
Build and maintain our website and platforms
Showcase our sustainability projects online
Integrate social media and content management tools
COOKING
Prepare healthy, homemade meals for the community
Work with fresh, seasonal, and locally grown ingredients
Help with food preparation, organization, kitchen routines, and workshops

We are an international eco-farm with people from all over the world speaking different languages, offering a great opportunity to practice. Every week we self-organize Portuguese and English classes, helping each other, always open to cultural exchange and language practice. -
Alojamiento
Two basic volunteer houses with 4 shared bedrooms each.
Electricity, clean water, hot showers, washing machines, stove and cooking facilities, and basic Wi-Fi.
Three meals per day are included.
A warm lunch buffet is provided on weekdays, while breakfast and dinner are prepared in the volunteer houses using the ingredients provided, including produce from the farm whenever available.
Personal snacks and special dietary items are the responsibility of each volunteer. -

When not helping on the farm, volunteers can enjoy hiking or simply relaxing while exploring the rich flora and fauna around Cardinot, a rural village near Nova Friburgo at 1,200 meters altitude.
The area is known for its beautiful mountains, creeks, and waterfalls, offering a peaceful and safe environment for nature lovers.
Volunteers can join sports like football or volleyball, or participate in community activities on the farm.
We also host social evenings with music, movies, games, karaoke, or other activities depending on the group.
There is a bus stop just 500 meters from the volunteer house, taking you to Nova Friburgo in about 45 minutes, where you can explore the town and its services.
Our community is focused on wellbeing, so alcohol and drugs are not part of the environment here.
Living here gives you the chance to disconnect, enjoy nature, and immerse yourself in an international community. -
