*We are looking for someone to participate in a renovation project of an old private house in Karuizawa from next April to about next fall . For this reason, we will give preference to those with renovation experience, so please be sure to provide us with information that shows your renovation or DIY experience when you contact us. Professional carpenters and architects are also welcome.
If you are not a professional, we ask that you have lots of renovation and DIY experience, and that you are at least proficient with a circular saw and an electric screwdriver.
✳︎What I am about to write are matters for working in a good atmosphere as a team.✳︎
Only those who are physically fit and have a positive attitude and interest in DIY work, traditional Japanese architecture, and cultural exchange will be considered. If you are not cooperative in all aspects, we may ask you to leave even in the middle of the promised period, so please understand this.
However, we are always willing to help you learn new things about architecture and have as much fun as possible with your interests outside of work. *

We live in an old house in Miyota-machi, Nagano.
There is great nature nearby and Mt. Asama is very beautiful.
We are renovating an old house and experiencing a traditional lifestyle.

Miyota-machi is a neighboring town of Karuizawa in Nagano Prefecture.
It is a 3 hour train ride or 2.5 hour drive from Tokyo.
    (日本人の方で旅をしながら、都会から離れての生活を体験してみたい方も大歓迎です!)
(Japanese people who want to travel and experience life away from the city are also welcome!)

We are a family of two.
As individual farmers, we grow our own food and help raise goats(other owners goats). We also renovate old houses with traditional materials.

We would like to give priority to accepting people who want to learn Japanese culture and language,
( One of the family members is a professional Japanese teacher and is therefore always available to speak and teach you Japanese.)
and who value the Japanese spirit. So, if you are interested, please contact us.
By living with us, you can experience Japanese culture and lifestyle.

✳︎We are currently receiving messages from a large number of people, so to avoid unfairness, we will give priority to those who reply quickly. thank you for understanding.✳︎

We are currently renovating an old house in Karuizawa and are looking for someone with DIY and carpentry experience and an interest in repairing Japanese buildings.

*Repairing of water (baths, washrooms, etc.)
*Repainting or reupholstering walls and wallpaper

As for living conditions, you will live in a town called Miyota, near Karuizawa. You will help out on a small goat farm (another owner keeps goats), grow your own food crops in the garden and fields, and occasionally mow the fields, so you may be asked to help on some days. But think of this main job as a project to repair an old Japanese house.

We work online from home during the week, so we are looking for someone who can do what they are told to do themselves.

We may ask you to prepare lunch. We may also ask you to help at other meal times and clean the bathroom and other areas where we live together.
