Hi, I'm Zoë. I grew up on an island in Spain with a Dutch father and a German mother. I'm a very open-minded person and respect all sorts of points of view as long as they are respectful. I enjoy talking to people who are different from myself and am open to learning from others. I was lucky enough to grow up with many different languages and cultures and would love to continue being around that kind of setting.

After a few years of working and saving up, my partner Jakob (from Germany) and I decided to start traveling. We are going to work as dive field assistants in Lake Tanganyika and make our way through Botswana and South Africa to Mexico. We both completed our master's degrees in Biology with a main focus on researching animal behavior, evolution, and ecology. We were fortunate enough to travel with our University Group and conduct fieldwork in many different countries such as Corsica, Namibia, Australia, Panama and Zambia. During this time, we realized that we enjoy traveling the most when we connect with the people living in the country and engage in working and learning alongside them. We have been living together for two years and have been on many trips already, and still really enjoy each other's company ;) . We both enjoy the outdoors and love diving, sailing, kayaking, camping, etc. While I (Zoë) enjoy more crafty, artsy projects during my free time, Jakob has worked and become skilled in the area of data analysis and programming and enjoys taking photos and videos of nature and people.

Zoë: I have experience babysitting and giving private lessons to kids. I am open to teach basic spanish and english. As a licensed PADI dive master with over 500 dives, I'm also a strong swimmer. My last job was in the plant protection industry, and I enjoy caring for my own plants at home. I'm very creative and usually have a few projects going on, such as painting, animation, embroidery, ceramics, and building. So, I'm always eager to learn new skills, whether it's repairing something or doing paint jobs.

Jakob: I'm passionate about taking and editing photos and videos and have had a few projects in these fields. After my biology studies, I took a course in Python coding and worked as a Data Analyst. Therefore, I'm comfortable with various computer-related tasks. I'm fluent in German and English and am interested in learning more languages.

Thanks to our broad knowledge in biology from our studies, we have the essential skill to acquire and understand new information in this field.
