Hi, I'm Anika, born in Switzerland. I've been to many places and l travel in Canada since September 2023. I truly like being in and with nature and I appreciate a calm and joyful surrounding.
Description
Yes, I'm getting the opportunity to make some beautiful workaway experiences here in BC:)
I'm a calm, gentle, active and nature loving woman. I appreciate social interactions and activities as well as space for myself. The wild land has fascinated me since I can remember. I grew up in a log house next to the woods. I enjoy spending my time in a nomadic way, surrounded by nature and moving where I feel drawn to.
From time to time I grow and forage my own food, share meals that are cooked with it and expand my knowledge in self-sufficiency, wild edibles, as well as in physical, mental, emotional and spiritual movement. I feel drawn to wild horses, surfing, mountains, water, harsh weather conditions, foraging wild foods or the silence and peace of early mornings.
Recently I picked up a guitar again and I truly like it! Sharing bonfires and playing some music is certainly a thing for me.
If there is an opportunity and a need, I'd grow herbs for medicine and I have an endless curiosity for ancient cultures and tribes, natural well-being & living methods, simplicity and for everything what's beyond thinking. I'm into natural gardening and supporting the soil instead of wast away. Before I came to Canada I used to work as a physiotherapist and as a ski patrol amongst many other things. Now, I'm developing my own method of harmony and for this process, I create time in silence and solitude in nature. It is crucial for my body and energy. Travelling is the best opportunity for me to apply and to connect with like minded people. I'm often very curious and keen to meet new people :-). I eat vegetarian, mostly vegan, and I prefer to eat according to my own schedule whereas occasionally I enjoy sharing meals together with others. I'm a quiet person, non-smoker and non-drinker and I prefer to live in a harmonious environment. I usually sleep early and wake up early.
To me, life is about remembering and then experiencing my natural behaviour, my inner peace and joy that comes with it. Out in the wild, memory comes back to me easily. I'm open for opportunities where I can implement my skills and abilities with plants, animals and humans. I don't follow a time schedule. I stay at a place as long as I feel like, usually this can be several weeks or months. While staying and helping at your place I will continue working on my own method. I'm a fast and curious learner, always up for fun and I love the sun!
Besides a pick up truck, I travel with some plants which I gathered in the wild and processed into medicine, a guitar, and a yoga mat. I prefer it to be very clean and tidy. If you have a space and opportunity for me, I'm happy to connect.Interests

More details about your skills
As most of us, I did several studies, diplomas and courses where I collected knowledge and experience throughout the years about:
- the physical body (bachelor's degree in physiotherapy, Switzerland)
- first aid and mountain rescue (ski patrol A, Switzerland)
- yogic practice (200hr yoga-teacher-training, India)
- nutrition (certified holistic nutrition coach, online)
- herbalism (certificate in the art and science of herbalism, Canada & online) and more
- my own method which is a no method of restoring harmony
I do not identify with any of these. Sure, in a way they have given me a foundation for a certain perspective, but I still trust the most in the information nature and my body provides me through sensations and feelings. I trust in my own inner nature - all ways. I love to collect wild edibles and to expand my knowledge about them.
- I bring experience and knowledge about natural, intuitive movement and ways of restoring harmony in the physical, mental and emotional body through movement.
- I have skills in horse care, riding, gardening and landscaping (including machines such as tractors, mowing machines, etc.) on an off-grid property.
- I grew up with horses, started riding when I was around 10.
- From time to time I enjoy drawing, painting, crafting, designing, music.
- I know quite some things about wild edibles and how to make plant medicine.
I love the woods, staying warm by a fire, cooking with fresh ingredients as well as all kind of animals that live in the wilderness. I'm not into eating animals and I'm open minded towards anyone who does. I feel to stay in Canada for much much longer:)
I easily adapt to new conditions and I'm always keen to learn new skills. Wherever I go I encounter with respect, peace and calmness.Age
