Description
Dear Reader,
I am Aisha reporting from London. I was born and have lived most my life in London and for 3.5 years I went to school in Pakistan. When I was at university I had an opportunity to do an internship in Singapore. As a nervous 19 year old I took my journey alone and a new world had opened up to me. Ever since then I have been travelling during my holidays.. I simply love it. The people. The culture. The history. The learning. The geography. The laughs. The cries. The moments. oh and I cannot forget The Yarn! I love knitting, crochet, sewing! I'm always checking out those kind of shops and the country's fashion trends.
...And sometimes my father (Abdul) travels with me.
So far we have been to Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Italy, Greece & Turkey. My father enjoys practical work, farming, cycling, cooking, talking to anyone and everyone! My father is a professional driver working at the airport dealing with international passengers. He use to be a bus driver and, when I was a child, sometimes I would spend the whole day with him in the bus :)Interests

Hi I’m Aisha,
I love all things nature as it brings me peace being connected to Earth. I could spend all day in my garden staring at the sky or sitting by the window listening to the rain, I’ve started to listen to birds too.
I like exploring sustainable ways of doing things, utilising the sun and the rain or maybe just repairing something to reduce waste. However nothing beats the satisfaction of crafting something myself.
I believe nothing is ever wasted in nature, provided that we don’t exploit it.
As a child I have always been curious and knew the world had a lot to offer. During my darkest times my creative spirit kept me alive.
When I was 9 years old I moved to Pakistan for 3.5 years and have spent some time living in less privileged communities, would make visits to my aunts farm where the basic and simple life intrigued me. Nothing was ever wasted, even left over food had to make its way to hungry people or wildlife.
Growing up I got myself into the crafts of sewing, knitting, crocheting. In 2014, with “Engineers without Borders” I went on a 2 weeks summer school to Mexico which focused on sustainability.
For almost two years I was a volunteer police officer in London where I engaged in community work and had the opportunity to assist people in their difficult times. This experience was deeply rewarding and made me grateful for every little privilege that we take for granted.
For the past year I was heavily involved in a house refurbishment and have been hands on with DIY projects and gardening.
After years I have rejoined workaway with the hopes of securing a place to get me out travelling whilst utilising my skill set to learn and exchange knowledge with the world and to meet amazing global citizens. I am anxious as it’s been a while since I’ve done anything like this, so I’m being brave by coming here :)Age
