We are currently looking for workaways to explore and learn new skills whilst travelling in Japan.

Description

Hello, our names are Will and Ella,

We are looking for workaways whilst we are travelling from January to September in Asia and Europe. We are particularly looking for workaways in Japan and we would love to learn some new skills, learn about Japanese culture and meet some new people.

Will is from Somerset in the UK and is working as a Carpenter in Manchester. Will specialises in heritage joinery and loves gothic churches, and historical buildings. Will would love to learn about Japanese carpentry whilst we are travelling. Will's other main interest is climbing, and has been lucky to live close to the Peak District. Will has previously done workaways when he went on a motorbike trip south through Spain to Senegal.

Ella is from Brighton in the UK and is working as a Paralegal in Manchester. Ella has previously worked as Bar Manager, and has extensive hospitality experience. Ella enjoys photography, art and helping out at the local allotment in her spare time. Ella would love to learn any new creative skills and about farming and permaculture. Ella has previously done volunteer work for law firms and farms.

We are both currently housesitting in the UK so have gained a lot of experience with looking after a variety of animals and housework, and we are excited to start exploring Japan !

After April 2026 we will be travelling back to the UK, and looking for workaways around the UK and Europe as we begin part 2 of our travels !
