Description
I love to meet new people and learn about their culture, beliefs, and experiences, especially if those are different from those I grew up with and have been exposed to. The world is a big and beautiful place, and I want to see as much of it as I can. I also love nature and music, and have expertise and interest in guitar, computer science, and mathematics.

I speak English fluently and I speak Spanish on an intermediate level. I am very much interested in language exchange or learning new languages, as well as teaching English. I grew up in Michigan in the United States, so I have a mostly neutral American accent, though I have some working knowledge of other English accents and slang.Skills and knowledge I'd like to share or learn

My professional expertise lies in computer science, programming, and mathematics with an engineering degree from the University of Michigan. I spent a year working professionally as a software engineer for one of the largest tech companies in the world. I am currently at an intermediate level of Spanish, and fluent in English as my native language. I also play guitar and viola, and am knowledgeable in music theory, with experience in giving guitar lessons in the past. I have experience teaching in a university setting where I taught a lab class covering digital logic design. Finally, I worked as a tour guide for my city for two years, where I learned how to make conversation with people from all walks of life. One of my most important skills is being a very fast learner and being able to handle ambiguity with confidence.

What else ...
I enjoy reading, philosophy, politics, and history, though I am not an expert in these by any means. I also occasionally enjoy playing video games and watching movies and tv shows, especially if there is someone to discuss the themes with after. I love nature, hiking, and interacting with animals as well.
