Hello,
We are a family of four. Mom, dad and 2 kids (age 19 and 15). We are tottaly hooked on the idea of workaway and appreciate opportunities it provides.
We have done a few family workaway trips so far, loved them all and are looking forward to coming ones. We also host volunteers in our place.
So who are we ?
Wojciech (52) is a software engineer. He is the man of many interests and passions. Just to mention a few: he is a licensed glider pilot, an ambitious squash/tennis and golf player. He has tried to learn to play some intruments, currently working on bass guitar.
Wojciech is ready to help with any computer/software related task, he can introduce students to Java programming. He has got some construction experience and farm work does not scare him away.
Aleksandra (50 this year) left a position in the production company over a year ago and got back to teaching English (holds Cambridge Proficiency in English Certificate).
She can do the housekeeping and childcare which she has been mastering for the last 18 years while being a mom. She can teach English, look after animals, do some garden and farm work etc.
Joanna, the daughter, 18 years old, passed her A levels last year, accepted to Uni, studies to become a doctor. She is more of a think-first-do-later character, rather cautious and careful and a curious mind. She is fond of reading, Netflix, meeting friends, going to the movies. She loves learning.
Tomek, almost 15, is I-accept-any-challenge type of person, very energetic and sporty. He loves tennis and plays it pretty well. His smile and energy is contagious and brightens up the gloomiest parties .
Both Joanna and Tomek have a very good command of English. Joanna passed FCE exam and Tomek passed English language test to IB secondary school. They can be great English - learning - partners for the host's kids with benefit for both sides.

They were polite, pleasant, and friendly and become a part of our family.
My daughters Zoe and Gaya fell in love with them as well.
I loved our time together and the interesting conversations we shared.
It was fun!!! We'd love to meet again!!!
With our limited workaway experience (this was our first time) Janaka’s place seems to be the ultimate destination and using Buddhist own words “a workaway Nirvana”.
