Michael - I'm a retired academic emergency doctor who has spent the 3.5 years since retiring: traveling the world, teaching at a Caribbean Med School, working as a hotel shuttle driver & houseman, doing a drug safety fellowship with a big BioPharma firm, writing passionately on Medium.com, and now in 2023, completely reengaging the new-normal world. I've done 5 physical labor Workaways--one in Tuscany, one in NZ, one in Spain, one in Holland and one in Portugal--and loved them all. Looking forward to MANY more of various types. Will be changing my home base to Portugal and the EU in Fall 2023 to continue my happy life, full of joy, gratitude, adventure, experience, learning and connection. I have an adult son and a brand new grand baby girl.
Qin Guan - New to Workaway and excited to be doing Workaways with Michael. My professional background is in banking and hospitality. I speak fluent Mandarin and English and a smattering of Japanese and Korean. My passions include: cooking, homemaking, children, pets, travel, adventure and new experiences. I have an 20-year-old daughter who is a college student focused on graphic design. Along with Michael just did Workaways in Holland and Portugal.
