Hi! Thank you for visiting my profile :)

As of September 2024 I am back in my home town, living under the shade of Texas live oak trees.

I have been on a slow-traveling journey since September 2022, mostly staying in one place for 1-2 months at a time. The last place I was a Workawayer, I ended up staying for nine months and took on a paid position as a part-time caregiver for a 93-year-old, which included helping with his morning routine and cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

I love to cook with and for people. It gives me deep joy to be able to cook with fresh ingredients picked from the garden or a neighbor's garden.

Before traveling, I was a server and bartender at a high-end restaurant in Nashville, Tennessee for 2 years. I loved listening to customers and creating a personal experience for each person who came in. I was lucky to work with a great team of chefs, managers, and front of house staff who truly worked as a whole crazy unit. Overall I have 5 years of experience in the food service and hospitality industries, and I would love to share this expertise with you and your team.

Besides my professional experiences, I have a number of hobbies that I bring with me wherever I go (most of them require no equipment, so that makes it easy)--

- singing-- solo and in choirs when possible

- mostly just playing :)
