Welcome to our virtual space!

It's exciting to be on a platform that presents such a unique opportunity to serve others and share value through every opportunity.

Friends and family would describe us as passionate, philosophical (we enjoy deep, meaningful conversations), and are committed to learning and expanding our skills.

Chris believes that every situation and opportunity makes you learn something new, loves exploring and having new experiences. He enjoys cooking, playing the bass and has a hate-love relationship with coding (which by the way, he does for his everyday job -software development)
You can also count on Chris for videography and video editing if you need.

I (Victoria) love people and view every stranger as a potential family member waiting to happen. I also enjoy writing, singing, playing the piano, organizing, housekeeping, cleaning and teaching.
In the past I've volunteered at local organizations to paint buildings, wash ceilings, renovate basements and power wash decks. You can count on me for these things.

EN: Even before we travelled to Peru, we knew we wanted to volunteer with this unique Workaway! We learned so much being here and are very grateful that the hosts - Emmanuel and his family treated us with humour, warmth, generosity and kindness.

Some of the best people we know work here as Staff and it was amazing to become friends with them and… read more really cool to meet and work with other volunteers from around the world. Luis, the current chef is a great teacher and will make you feel so at ease, every job becomes a delight.

Our work varied but primarily included cleaning the kitchen, preparing breakfast, supporting at the reception and taking care of other guests needs.
In addition to volunteering, we were compensated for additional hours worked. Victoria's Spanish learning improved a lot through this immersive experience, and Chris now knows how to make really cute pancakes. We must thank Jorge for showing us how to make Peru's most delicious Salchipapas, and Jose Antonio for teaching us how not to make Lasagna in Europe. The moments we spent eating and working together will be dear memories for the future.

Our hours in the first week were longer and much busier due to the holidays and the arrival of many guests.

Needless to say, the Cañon de Colca is effortlessly beautiful, peaceful and ultimately charming.

ES: Incluso antes de viajar a Perú, sabíamos que queríamos ser voluntarios en este único Workaway. Aprendimos mucho estando aquí y estamos muy agradecidos de que los anfitriones, Emmanuel y su familia, nos trataran con humor, calidez, generosidad y amabilidad.

Algunas de las mejores personas que conocemos ahora trabajan aquí como personal y fue increíble hacernos amigos de ellos y fue muy chévere trabajar con otros voluntarios de diferentes lados. Luis, el actual chef es un gran profesor y te hará sentir tan a gusto que cada trabajo se convierte en un deleite.

Nuestro trabajo variaba pero incluía principalmente limpiar la cocina, preparar el desayuno, apoyar en la recepción y atender las necesidades de otros huéspedes. Además del voluntariado, nos compensaron por las horas adicionales trabajadas. El español de Victoria mejoró mucho en esta inmersa experiencia y Chris aprendió a hacer lindos panqueques. Le damos las gracias a Jorge por enseñarnos como hacer la mejor Salchipapas del Peru y a Jose Antonio por enseñarnos a como no hacer lasaña en Europa. El tiempo que tuvimos comiendo y trabajando juntos son momentos memorables para el futuro.

Nuestro horario durante la primera semana fue más largo y mucho más ocupado debido a las festividades y la llegada de muchos huéspedes.

No hace falta decir que el Cañón del Colca es naturalmente hermoso, pacífico y, sobretodo, encantador.
