Hello!
We are Tristan and Luisa, traveling from Canada and the United States. We are visiting Australia through a working holiday visa and would love to meet new people and explore the country through Workaway. We have traveled across the United States in our van and are excited to continue our travels further from home. Outside of work we enjoy hiking, cooking, craft nights, foraging, seeing live music, hunting and fishing.
We are both self-directed, hard workers who get along with most everyone and enjoy working outdoors and learning new skills. We arrive in Melbourne August 12th and are available to start anytime after that. Looking forward to chatting with you! :)

Luisa has worked in the service industry for years as a waitress and bartender and has more recently worked in renewable energy installing solar panels with a small company in Maine. She has experience with commercial and residential solar projects, roof mounts and ground mounts. Some electrical knowledge, comfortable using power tools, some roofing experience. She has also worked events for a composting company and has experience in childcare/nannying.
Tristan’s work experience varies from factories to sandwich shops but most recently he has specialized in forestry in British Colombia, Canada. Comfortable working around wild animals, operating saws and blades, management of invasive plants with or without herbicides, fire mitigation, off-road driving etc. Personal experience in operating wood splitting machinery, automobile mechanics, big game hunting, operating ATVs, gardening, and various other outdoor activities.
