Hey!

My name is Taylor, I'm 24 years old and from a small beach town called Gerroa, on the east coast of Australia.

I am currently travelling around Europe and it is my first time on this side of the world. I am doing a mix of solo travelling and travel with friends and my partner. I am interested in workaways rather than quick city hopping as I believe you get a more authentic experience of a place and the people when staying in one spot for a longer period of time, allowing better connections to form.

On this trip I have spent 6 weeks volunteering at a surf camp in Portugal where I got to connect with so many legendary individuals who I believe will be friends for life as well as experience the Portuguese lifestyle in a small village.

I am super passionate about surfing as it brings me such happiness and mental clarity to be out in the water, like a form a meditation. Not to mention the fun that can be had when sharing the waves with friends.

I am currently undertaking a Hatha Yoga teacher training course and delving into the orgins of yoga, postures, breath work and mediation. This course has been motivating me to connect deeper within myself and be conscious of all my actions in everyday life.

I like to surround myself with individuals who motivate and inspire me and hope I can do the same to others.

I have a bachelor degree in medical and health sciences, where I focused mostly on undertaking exercise science and nutrition subjects and hope to do further study around the gut microbiome after my travels.

I have 10 years experience in the hospitality industry where I've worked as a barista (I'm very passionate about good coffee), bartender (making cocktails), manager, cook and have also worked in ski rental and retail at a surf shop (I love surfing and snowboarding).

I am a hard worker, a team player who loves being involved in rewarding programs and don't mind getting my hands dirty.

I am also passionate about cooking nutritious vegetarian meals to enjoy with friends and family.
