Description
My name's Tamblyn and I'm from Brighton, UK. This summer I graduated from Edinburgh University with a degree in social anthropology and love exploring, meeting new people and seeing new things. I love being by the sea and up in the hills, and everything in between :)
I am a writer, and enjoy cooking, reading, swimming and yoga, and I’ve recently been getting into foraging! Caring for the environment is very important to me, and I am always open to learning different ways to live in harmony with the world. I am interested in impactful conservation and developing sustainable practices and would love to learn more about how to practically contribute in a positive way.Interests

More details about your skills
- I have a lot of experience helping my dad out in the garden, painting sheds, as well as caring for animals. I grew up with dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs, and I rode horses as a teenager, so I have good base knowledge of animal care. I've also helped out at my aunt’s sheep farm - feeding the animals and bottle feeding orphaned lambs.
- In 2024, I spent two weeks volunteering on an organic croft in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland (via WWOOF), and learnt how to plant out and harvest vegetables, strip and reconstruct palettes to build compost bays, and helped in caring for a pair of Shetland ponies.
- I have spent three weeks at a permaculture farm in wales, learning how to scythe and care for a garden with permaculture principles
- this summer we spent three weeks volunteering on an organic farm in Norway! good cooking, caring for the chickens, scything, planting and weeding :)
- I have volunteered as part of an anti-homelessness charity and have done street patrols and provided people sleeping rough with food and hot water bottles.
- I have four years experience working in various bars and restaurants and enjoy meeting people from all over the world through a love for food :)Age
