Hi! I’m Tal, I’m 21 and a junior at Indiana University studying Media. I’m about to start an intensive Spanish program and then spend a semester abroad in Buenos Aires, and I’m really excited to volunteer before my program begins!
I’m happiest when I feel connected — to people, to place, and to what I’m doing. I love being in new environments, meeting people from different backgrounds, and feeling like I’m part of something meaningful rather than just passing through. I enjoy learning by doing and being genuinely involved in daily life.
I’ve worked as a social media coordinator and production assistant, so I’m comfortable managing social media, creating content, and helping tell stories online. I also play guitar and love having music be part of everyday life. I really value hands-on work, shared meals, good conversations, and working toward a common goal. Those are the kinds of experiences that stay with me the longest!

Yes — definitely. I’m really interested in both teaching and learning languages. I can help teach Hebrew and would love the opportunity to share it with others, whether casually through conversation or more structured practice. At the same time, I’m eager to improve my Spanish. I studied Spanish for four years in high school, but I’ve forgotten a lot over time, so I’m hoping to refresh it and become more confident through everyday use and immersion. I really enjoy language exchange and think it’s one of the best ways to connect with people and culture.

I bring a mix of practical, creative, and people-focused skills. I have experience working in leadership and community-based roles, where communication, reliability, and teamwork really matter. I’m comfortable jumping into new environments, following instructions, and also taking initiative when something needs to get done.
I’ve worked extensively with social media and digital content, including creating posts, managing accounts, as well as experience in journalism, and media advertising internship, and thinking strategically about how to tell stories and connect with people. I’m organized, detail-oriented, and good at managing multiple responsibilities at once — skills I’ve developed through my academic work and internships.
I’m also very people-oriented. I’m friendly, patient, and comfortable working with individuals of different ages and backgrounds. I learn quickly, adapt easily, and don’t mind doing hands-on or repetitive tasks if they’re part of helping a project run smoothly. Whether it’s assisting with daily operations, helping with organization, or contributing creatively, I’m happy to be flexible and useful.

I like to watch, play, and talk about sports, and I enjoy both casual games and following teams. I play guitar and really like having music as part of my everyday life, whether that’s practicing on my own or playing around other people. I also enjoy hiking and being outdoors, especially exploring new places on foot.
In my downtime, I like watching movies and creating videos — I enjoy telling stories visually and being creative with content. I’m also a big fan of board and card games and love anything that brings people together, especially games like Monopoly, Catan, and different card games. Overall, I’m easygoing, social, and always happy to share interests or pick up new ones from the people around me.
