I take plenty of joy from engaging people from a variety of backgrounds. May it be different cultures, professions, personalities or lifestyles. There is quite a bit to be discovered. And even more so once I get a chance to actively take part in those lifes! This is why I‘m on workaway, am living in a flatshare of 12 people and have lived in similar constellations almost my entire adult life. In workaway I see a great chance to find extra inspiration for shaping my own future. Or sometimes even just a small break from my regular private and professional life.

I grew up in a trade background and work on the technical side of the aviation industry. So my key skills are definetily the crafts. Use of manual and power tools, professional metalworking, repairing machines or home appliances, basic woodworking, basic plumbing, you name it! And what I do not know I am willing to give a shot! For the fun of it I recently built and programmed an irrigation system for my four home plants. They live well :D

Apart from that I can teach english and german, know how to handle and care for big dogs, drive cars, motorbikes and tractors, get groceries, do some cleaning or gardening. Just hand me a spade or a sponge and show me what to do. My cooking is decent and if I have time even better than decent. While my preferred tasks are the craftly ones, I know it takes more to run a household than wielding hammers and screwdrivers.

What else ...

One of my greatest passions is flying. I have a recreational pilots license and train to upgrade to become a commercial pilot in the near future. So if you are interested I can show and tell a lot about flying :)

I do love to surf! Whenever I get a chance to do it, I'm in! Since I am a little landlocked in germany most of the time I can't really say I'm a regular surfer. But I've seen a surf spot or two on this planet.

Another passion used to be playing piano and synthesisers in a weekly jam session with friends. Making music is currently on hold for me, as I'm more interested in DIY projects at the moment. But I can still teach beginner level piano playing in case you're interested.

I get along well with kids and try to let them participate at what I'm doing whenever possible. Certainly no expert babysitter but I can entertain kids for a few hours, help with homework and know how to keep the parents' rules up when they are not around.

I do like board, card and video games a lot. They are a great way to connect with people.
