Hello! I'm a sailing instructor (I teach kids aged 6-18 how to sail as well as adults) from Toronto, Canada who is looking to see new parts of the world, learn a new language, expand my own skill set, and open myself up to new opportunities and cultures. I have worked in restaurants, with children, and as a general helping hand and maintenance person/dock staff at sailing clubs and marinas in Canada. I'm a social, hardworking, self-sufficient and eager-to-learn person, who is finding out who I want to be and where :).

More details about my language interests
As mentioned, I am very interested in learning or picking up a new language. I lived in Quebec and worked in customer service in French so my understanding and speaking level are not fluent but semi-professional, and Spanish and Italian I understand a lot of but would love to get better at it! I would be excited to learn any other language as well even though I have less of a background in them :)

I am first aid certified, with a boat licence and certifications to teach sailing at multiple levels from ages 6>. I have an international drivers permit valid until January 2026. My work experience includes customer service, childcare, sports coaching, water sports-specific coaching and instructing, food preparation, and some basic boat, engine, and dock maintenance and repair. I love the outdoors and am a fast learner who is highly interested in learning languages and how to cook. I am fluent in English and my French and Spanish are a work in progress, however, I understand both quite well.

What else ...

I love music and painting, I grew up with dogs and cats so I love to be around animals, or to care for them. I am an extroverted person but can enjoy time alone to read, write, draw, or just go for walks and experience the space around me. I'm very curious and always want to learn new skills or just general knowledge from the people I meet so I would always love the opportunity to be taught something new, whether it's a card game or a trade.
