From the middle of the United States to the world! Originally from Kansas, I’ve explored my own country quite a bit. This brought me to college in the state of Washington, working on a schooner (old sailboat) in the state of Maine, living near the everglades at the tip of Florida, living and exploring New York City, and doing a farm work away internship in the desert of New Mexico.

I love love love to hear people’s stories — about life, ideas, where they’ve been. I enjoy reading, writing, and simply observing life unfold. Friends describe me as calm and grounded.

In exploring interests of mine, I’ve had many jobs. I’ve been a nanny for a wonderful 4 year old, outfitted and sailed on a schooner (wooden sailboat), worked as a bookseller at a bookstore, a barista at a coffee shop, a server at a restaurant; I’ve been a camp counselor at two summer camps in the United States, one for young girls and one for people with disabilities. Also did a farm exchange working with animals (goats, chickens, turkeys) and gardening — learning techniques to grow a bountiful harvest in good soil and understanding benefits of organically grown food.

I write often, and if you’re in need of words, I’d love to help craft something. I take photographs as a hobby and have put together videos before. I also enjoy cooking and sharing dinners with people. All to say — I’m an open mind, ready to learn, willing to take on any project.

Interest in learning building or woodworking skills, architecture, further into gardening and the natural landscape, and learning from people across cultures.

Enjoy being outside in whatever possible way. As a child, this was playing outside and participating in many sports. As an adult, I’ve been backpacking, snowboarding, hiking — just sitting out in nature is great.
