Description
Hello Workaway! I am so excited to explore opportunities in Hawaii and New Zealand related to my budding interests in foraging, herbalism, organic agriculture, and homesteading, as well as the culture, cuisine, and natural environment of Polynesia.
I have experience working part-time on a small organic, no-till/no-spray farm in Massachusetts. While I still have a good deal to learn about gardening, farming, and animal care, I am a fast and eager learner with a strong knowledge base and a passion for low-impact, healthy, and delicious foods. In the kitchen, I am a skilled cook, baker, and preserver with a sizable repertoire of vegan and vegetarian dishes. It would be a joy to cook for you!
The bulk of my work experience is in communications and writing, including grant writing, social media management, research support, copyediting, and a little bit of web design. If your organization needs support in any of these fields, I'm more than happy to help.
I also have extensive childcare, education, and special education experience. Let me know if I can assist you with childcare, tutoring, or other educational needs for your family and/or fellow Workawayers. I love animals and can help care for dogs and cats, too!
