Hello!
My name is Sophia, and I'm a Czech/American traveling through New Zealand for 9 months! I just finished my bachelors, and was yearning to spend some time in nature, which inspired me to travel to NZ! I'm trying to maximize my time outdoors, so I'm hoping to do a lot of hiking, cycling, and adventure sports. I am seeking work opportunities that keep me outdoors, and physically active such as farming, viniculture, or other sustainability projects. I'm responsible, an incredibly hard worker, and have a positive attitude that I hope I can share with others :)
I love animals, cooking, reading, swimming, scuba diving and almost every kind of sport. I'm particularly interested in learning more about Maori culture and language. I really enjoy meeting new people, and am hoping to make some new friendships in my travels.
I'm new to workaway, but have traveled plenty, and have done plenty of homestays with families in a number of different countries like: Indonesia, Jordan, Hungary, Russia, Chile, Nepal, etc. so I understand what this experience is like.
I love learning about new cultures, and am passionate about history, religion, and human rights. I'm looking forward to this next adventure in NZ!

Outdoors: I’m very fond of animals, and am physically fit and able to carry heavy things, so I would be able to work as a farmhand.
Teaching: I have experience babysitting and working as a teaching assistant for young kids.
Technology/computers: I’m sufficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
