Lavinia:
I am a highly motivated and adventurous person who finds happiness in personal growth, making a positive impact on the world, cultural exploration, learning, and spending time with loved ones. The thrill of discovering something new and exciting motivates me to seek out new experiences and create lasting memories. I have a strong desire to improve myself and achieve success in whatever I set my mind to. This motivation pushes me to constantly challenge myself and strive for personal growth.
I love the great outdoors, dancing, and painting. I find happiness in discovering my purpose and passion in life, my Ikigai. Whether it be through my career or personal interests, I also seek out ways to use my unique talents and skills to make a positive impact on the world. I enjoy exploring other cultures and learning about walks of life that differ from my own. I have a deep curiosity and appreciation for the diversity of the world. I find joy in learning about different cultures, traditions, and ways of life, and this motivates me to travel and explore.
I am fascinated by language and find happiness in learning new ones. The ability to communicate with people from different cultures in their own language is important to me, and I enjoy the challenge and satisfaction of mastering a new language. I am fluent in English and German, and at an intermediate level in Spanish language composition.
Spending time with loved ones brings me happiness and rejuvenates my soul. I value the relationships in my life and find joy in creating memories and sharing experiences with those closest to me. Half of my family lives in Nordrhein- Westfalen, Germany. I believe it was my German mom (and my love for aviation!) that ignited my fire for travel.
I love geography games and trivia, and claim to be a wiz at all things related to MAPS! Although I studied Hospitality and Tourism Management in university, I am not as fond of traveling to well-known tourist destinations. I prefer to discover the less popular and underrated destinations, find my own hidden gems away from home.

Juan:
I am a highly self-aware individual who values authenticity, personal growth, and thrill-seeking experiences. I derive joy and motivation from expressing my true self and being in exciting and challenging situations that push you beyond your limits.
I am driven by a desire to learn from others and gain new perspectives, recognizing that my experiences are not the only ones that matter. I value the opportunity to expand my knowledge and understanding of the world, and are open to exploring different viewpoints.
I am a part-time university student when I am not abroad. I am studying to become an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician). My love for adrenaline and taking risks speaks to my desire to explore and push myself out of my comfort zone. I enjoy the rush of excitement that comes from trying new things and taking on challenges, and find fulfillment in achieving goals that require perseverance and dedication.
I am a passionate, curious, and adventurous person who is committed to living life to the fullest. I am motivated by the pursuit of personal growth and the pursuit of experiences that allow you to express my true self and feel alive.

We are both native English speakers. Lavinia grew up in a German-speaking household and Juan grew up in a Spanish-speaking home. We are both at an intermediate level in Spanish and German. Lavinia studied Spanish as her minor in university. We understand Spanish very well, but please be patient with us when speaking. Lavinia always likes to practice her German whenever she has a chance and Juan is incredibly open-minded with German and taking strides in learning this language. We have learned beginner-level Darija (Moroccan dialect of Arabic). Muchas gracías! Danke schön! Tack så mycket!Skills and knowledge we'd like to share or learn

- Communication: We can effectively interact with hosts, understand their expectations, and be team players.
- Creativity: We have shown in past Workaways that we can think outside-of-the box and creatively outside of our comfort zones from assisting with art exhibition preparations to painting murals for a host's project.
- Organic Permaculture - We know how to create a microbacteria enriched terra preta compost, maintain a worm farm (vermicompost) and in turn contribute to a sustainable ecosystem with reduced pollution.
- Video Editing - We enjoy creating and editing videos, and can create aerial shots of your project with our drone. We share a passion for aerial videography.
- Gardening - At past exchanges, we had the opportunity to harvest fruits and vegetables where tomatoes, eggplant, beans, butternut squash, and more were grown. We are new to gardening nonetheless, but really want to learn more, espcially about sustainable permaculture in each country we visit. We have engaged in organic farming in dry and wet climates alike.
- Business Management (Lavinia) - I have worked customer service and/or hospitality/tourism industry related jobs for five years, most recently in hotel management. I would be an asset to any host that needs assistance with running their hotel or hostel in their respective country. In my host country, I was most recently a Hotel Front Office Manager. This requires a combination of technical skills, managerial abilities, and interpersonal skills. I am flexible and adaptable. I am open-minded and am willing to go out of my comfort zone in environments (culturally, socially, lifestyle) that differ from what I am used to .
- Helping with Computers (Juan): I am proficient in working with computers and can navigate various software applications, troubleshoot technical issues, and potentially perform tasks such as software installation, maintenance, or basic coding.
- Emergency Medical Services (Juan): I am also knowledgeable in administering CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and providing basic medical care. I can work effectively in emergency situations and potentially provide immediate assistance to someone in need.
- Creating and Cooking Family Meals: We thoroughly enjoy meal prep and cooking for our community, whether that be a group of volunteers or a host and their family. Whether it's following recipes, understanding cooking techniques, or having an understanding of food safety practices, we can contribute to meal preparation.
Our skills are diverse and can be useful in various Workaway Volunteer roles. They showcase our versatility and ability to handle different tasks, ranging from technical computer work to basic medical care, household chores, and outdoor work on a farmstay.Age
