Travelling
Description
Hello! I am Shania, an outgoing and adventurous kiwi girl from New Zealand who has been travelling since April 2023 :)
I have chosen to use workaway in the past as it allows opportunities to meet new people, experience different cultures, learn new skills, share my own knowledge, and experience different ways of life.
I believe that these things are the best and most valuable parts of travelling. I would like to continue to push myself out of my comfort zone and into new, challenging situations that allows me to grow as a person.
Here is a little bit about me;
I have called both New Zealand and Australia my home at different parts of my upbringing. I have been brought up on farms and around animals, which is reflected in me through my love for the outdoors.
I backpacked for six months in 2023, during which did a few different work away experiences which I thoroughly enjoyed. I then did a UK working visa where I ended up in a small village in South Devon working in a restaurant. Now I am back out exploring!
I enjoy all activities that connect body to nature, especially hiking, swimming and running. I also enjoy reading, history and geography, music and food.
Thank you for checking out my profile, I hope to meet many of you soon :)Interests

More details about your skills
I have completed two out of three years of a university bachelor's degree, studying criminology and education. I am a native English speaker and have studied it for the majority of my life - so would love to teach others.
I have workaway experience in gardening, childcare, cleaning, organising, general maintenance and odd jobs.
I have work experience in hospitality (barista, bartending and front of house), retail and farm work. I also grew up with three younger brothers - so have loads of childcare experience.
I have a full drivers license and have had jobs that involve driving different sized vehicles.
I have also been living away from home for over five years now, so things such as cleaning, cooking and general maintenance are all things I am used too.Age
