  • Description

I am currently an international student at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University as a member of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I am studying international politics in graduate school and would like to experience a farm stay for 3 or 4 weeks during the summer vacation period (May 27 to June 21).
I was a member of a soccer team until high school and still play soccer occasionally with friends, so I am confident in my physical fitness! I like to go to the stadium to watch baseball games!
I also love to travel and my goal is to travel all 50 states before I leave the United States. So far, I have been to 20 states.
I would like to spend time in a completely different environment than the Boston I live in now! I would be happy if I can help someone else based on my experience in contact with nature and animals.

I am currently an international student at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University as a member of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I would like to improve my English skills through various experiences including daily conversation with my hosts. After this experience, I will be taking professional English training at Middlebury International Graduate School in Monterey, California. I am also interested in teaching Japanese. As a professional diplomat in Japan, I would like to conduct cultural exchanges.

  • More details about your skills

During my undergraduate years in Tokyo, I worked in the bucket service of The Peninsula Tokyo, a five-star hotel. There, as a party service staff, I dealt with high-level guests. I believe that the spirit of hospitality I learned there can be useful in any place.
I have also belonged to a non-profit organization that conducts projects related to education in the Philippines, and have knowledge of charity work. I am good at communicating and getting along with people I meet for the first time immediately, and I can work as part of a team.
My grandfather is a rice farmer, and I have a little experience helping him with farming. I think farming in a foreign country will be a completely new experience for me, but I am willing to do my job by listening to my hosts carefully.
I have basic computer skills, having worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I can operate simple Microsoft Office software such as Excel and PowerPoint. I have also provided interpretation services between Japanese and English.
I cook for myself every day in Boston, so I can cook daily dishes. If you wish, I can cook and serve Japanese food.
I have a Japanese car license so I have no problem driving in the U.S. I drive in Boston on a daily basis, and I also drive for long periods of time, several hours at a time.
