Hello, We are Doug and Sharla --a married couple of 35 years. We recently sold our company and are excited to do some traveling before committing to new careers. We recently learned about Workaway and are excited to give it a try :-)

We are hardworking, positive people who love to learn and explore. We have done a lot of DIY projects in and around our home over the years keeping it in good shape. We have painted, sewed, gardened and done architectural millwork projects. We have numerous gardens around our yard. We have done a little vegetable gardening with mostly flowers and shrubs.

Sharla is easy going, a great listener, a planner, creative, detailed and and thoughtful. She has worked part time in customer service, bookkeeping, new employee orientations and created custom curtains. She also homeschooled one of our sons for seven years.

Doug is a hardworker, get things done guy. He likes to see the project get completed. We have always joked that his talents are digging ditches/holes (Sharla has had many gardening projects) and doing dishes. It is nice to add those talents somewhere applicable - Ha! Doug is a teacher by trade, although has worked in sales as part owner of a company the last 28 years. He has coached numerous soccer, basketball and baseball teams putting himself through college lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons. He continues to teach Sunday school classes. He loves cards and board games

We are both helpful and strive to do a good job at whatever we do.

We love to hike, kayak, travel, and garden. We love to learn about people, their experiences and new places. We are looking forward to working side by side, meeting new people and exploring new places. Perhaps you? ;-)
