Description
Hola!
My name is Sauli and I'm a recent psychotherapy graduate from Finland. I'm about to start the adventure of a lifetime: a tour around South America without a final destination and I'm excited to connect with like-minded travelers and interesting hosts to create something beautiful.
Before diving into psychotherapy, I worked in TV as a director, spent several winters as a guide and ski instructor, and now teach somatic yoga and movement. I have a passion for nature and enjoy anything that gets me outside and moving. I want to help form deeper connections within our minds and bodies, with others, and with the natural world and beyond.
What brings me to Latin America is my desire to feel and sense the culture, enjoy the language, and explore innovative and interesting landscapes. Perhaps it will involve dancing salsa or tango, having memorable experiences in the Amazon rainforest, or just enjoying some chill time in Viña del Mar.
When it comes to my preferences, I favor quiet, smaller places over big cities, and I believe slow travel is the best way to see the world. My most memorable trip so far was the Trans-Siberian from Helsinki to Vladivostok, six time zones, countless cups of tea, and plenty of contemplation while staring out the window. I don't smoke or drink, and I don't do party drugs either.
Through Workaway, I would love to teach yoga and ecosomatics and potentially lead tours. I’m not afraid to get my hands in the soil to care for beautiful plants or welcome new guests to accommodations. I appreciate open, honest communication and prefer building real connections over quick one-week flings.
If you’re looking for someone reliable, easygoing, and happy to help out, I am your guy. Let’s make it a great experience for both of us!Interests
