I am a 28 year old writer and server from Toronto, Ontario, currently working full time while writing a fantasy novel. I first travelled solo in the summer of 2023, backpacking through Europe. It was one of the best experiences of my life, and during my time travelling I met a lot of workawayers who broadened my perspective on how global travel is possible. As much as I enjoyed my solo travelling, I'm looking for something a bit different this time around. Working and living in a big city, I feel incredibly disconnected from nature, and one of my main goals for workaway is to help reconnect. As well, I'm very interested in learning new skills (anything to do with building, farming, or animal care) and new languages. Overall, I'm looking for somewhere beautiful and natural, where I can learn anything you have to offer, and work on my novel.

For the past seven years I have been working in the restaurant industry as a server and bartender. In these roles I have often had the opportunity to train new staff, as well as take on additional responsibilities as the senior staff at some of these restaurants. From my experience in that industry, I am very skilled at not only teaching others in a thoughtful and compassionate way, but handling difficult situations with people and mediating between them.
I have also been writing for the majority of my life, so I have incredibly proficient knowledge of the English language.
