Description

Hi there, I’m Saga ! I am planning on backpacking southeast Asia into India and central Asia, starting in December and hopefully making it through Turkey on my way home summer 2025.

I have no set plans at the moment and I’m always ready for an adventure! Ideally I want to folIow the natural flow of things and see where that takes me - no set destination! I prefer nature to big cities but I'm happy as long there's food to try and people to talk to. I've gotten the opportunity to stay with locals before through travelling/volunteering and that's something I appreciate a lot. Cultural exchanges, new friendships, lifelong memories and collaboration on interesting projects is what volunteering is all about for me :)

I'm happy to learn and usually pretty quick at picking up new things! That being said here's some of my 'formal' experience/skills:

- English teaching (with the European Solidarity Corps teaching disadvantaged youth in France, including courses/diplomas)

- Childcare (au pair in Italy, babysitting)

- Social media/marketing/graphic design (happy to show portfolio!)

- Previous Workaway at hostel in Greece (July 2022)

- Previous Workaway with a small scale family chili farm/light construction work in Malaysia (February 2025)

- Previous Workaway at an English school teaching kids ages 8-15 in Laos (March 2025)

- Certified barista (and cafe/waitressing experience)

In general I enjoy nature, socializing, outdoor activities, learning new languages and skills, well, most things really!
